Delhi City Hospital
0200 hoursNandini stared blankly ahead as the police left her in the hospital's emergency room. She had just finished recounting the events that had happened a few hours ago. All of her friends were gathered around her, forming a protective circle to shield her from any more trouble. Rajveer had gone to the billing counter to finish the formalities for her discharge.
They had brought Nandini to the hospital to make sure she got quick treatment in case Pandit had hurt her. Fortunately, apart from the rope burns on her wrists and mild dehydration, she was okay physically. However, mentally, she was deeply traumatized by what had happened.
"Rope Burns by FXHolic from DevientArt"
The doctor advised Rajveer to make sure Nandini sees a psychiatrist soon. Traumas like these can have a deep impact on the victim's life in the future. Rajveer nodded in agreement.
"We'll get her the help she needs," Rajveer assured the doctor, his voice filled with determination. "Thank you for everything."
The doctor gave a reassuring nod. ""It's crucial to start the healing process early to prevent long-term effects."
In the room.
Manik sat beside Nandini, gently holding her hand. "You're safe now, Nandini," he said softly. "We're all here for you."
Nandini nodded slightly, appreciating the comfort but still feeling overwhelmed. Mukti sat on her other side, rubbing her back soothingly. "We're not going anywhere, Nandini. You're not alone in this. We won't let anything like this happen again."
Dhruv and Cabir stood nearby, ready to help with anything she needed. Navya brought her a glass of water, urging her to take small sips. "You've been through a lot, but we're here to support you," Navya said kindly.
Dhruv nodded in agreement. "Navya is correct. We're all here for you. Just take your time to heal."
"Nandini, you're the strongest person I know. We'll get through this together," Manik said softly, his eyes filled with concern and love.
Nandini finally looked at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Thank you for finding me, Manik. I was so scared," she whispered.
Manik squeezed her hand gently. "I'll always find you, Nandini. No matter what."
Rajveer returned, holding the discharge papers. "Everything is sorted. We can leave whenever you're ready, Riddhu," he said, giving her a reassuring smile.
Nandini looked around at her friends and her brother, feeling a little more grounded. "Thank you, everyone," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I don't know what I would do without you all."
