'Your destination is to your left' is what you hear waking you up from your nap. That was the longest car ride you've ever had but you're finally here. You watch out the window as the car pulls up to a very plain but cozy looking house. This is it, your new home in Plainview. Your parents had decided to get a fresh start in a brand new town with a new house and new people. Whoopie. This wasn't your ideal plan or place but it made them excited and happy so you went along with it. "Come on Y/N!!" "Come look at our new place" your mom yells excitedly trying to get your interest in it. You slump out the car still feeling sluggish from the long ride there. The cool breeze hits your skin and makes you shiver. You look around. Hmmm just an average suburban town how fun. You make your way inside the house bringing a box with some of your belongings to get stared unpacking. The house is nice, really big too. You get to pick your room which was nice. You choose the upstairs room away from everything. It's almost like an attic just more spacious so it works as a room. You plop your box on the floor not having your bed yet. "I guess this won't be so bad" you say to yourself looking around the room. "Y/N, come get your boxes!" You hear your mom call for you. You make your way down the stairs out the door to the car. You see your parents talking to a woman carrying a little boy. "Oh Y/N come over here" your parents wave you over to them and this unfamiliar woman. "This is Mrs Heffley from next door" your mom says looking back at Mrs. Heffley with a smile. "Hello it's very nice to meet you Mrs. Heffley" you say smiling at her. "It's really nice to meet you too Y/N and please call me Susan"she says returning the smile. "Say hello manny" she says to the little boy who's in her arms. "Hi" he says in a small voice waving his hand at you. "How cute" you say being polite and waving back. "You know she babysits" your dad chimes in. You feel a little embarrassed that he brings it up out of a whim but Mrs. Heffley gives you a reassuring smile. "I've been looking for one for this little guy. Maybe we can talk it over dinner tonight at our place". Your parents happily take the offer and Mrs. Heffley goes to prepare said dinner. You lug your boxes up the stairs happy to finally have your bed delivered so you can sink into it and rest for awhile before dinner at the Heffley's.
