Mom is downstairs cooking dinner while you're at your open closet trying to pick something to wear for dinner. It's just a small dinner with the Heffleys so nothing too over the top. You settle for a black skirt and a black lacy blouse you fix yourself in the mirror as you hear the door ring downstairs. "Y/N can you please get the door!" You hear your mom yell for you. You rush down the stairs and take a deep breath before opening the door greeting the Heffleys with a big smile. You welcome them in giving Greg a smile and saying hi him. Following after him is Rodrick "Hey loser" he says with a sly smile, "Hey asshole" you return a sly smile yourself. He takes a step closer to you and you tense up "Is that anyway to talk to your guest", he ask face inches away from yours. "What are you gonna do about it" you ask back smugly matching his tone staring right into his eyes. He moves in closer backing you against the wall "I can make you take that back" he whispers slowly and sharply against your neck. "I'd like to see you try" you lightly shove him away now playing his game. You make your way to the table proud of your new found confidence around Rodrick, you sit next to Greg smiling at him and sparking up conversation that is till Rodrick interrupts you two, "You're in my seat" he sharply whispers in Greg's ear but loud enough you hear it. "Well I got here first and your name isn't on the chair" Greg reply's trying to be confident around you but he has a scared nervous undertone in his voice. "Look shit stain unless you wanna end up dead I'd move over" Rodrick says in a lower more annoyed tone squeezing Greg's shoulder causing him to wince in pain. Greg sighs and moves a seat so Rodrick can gracefully sit next to you. He glances a smirk and a wink at you before digging into dinner, you just roll your eyes at him for being an asshole to Greg. You don't like Greg in that way but you care about him as friend. You space out for a little while just picking at the food on your plate when you feel something rub on your knee and up your thigh. It shocks you out of your daze looking down at your lap seeing none other than Rodricks hand resting on it under the table for no one to see as everyone is busy conversating and enjoying dinner. You look up at him to see a little smile on his face while he continues to eat. "It's really nice that Y/N is getting along with the boys so well" Mrs. Heffley says your attention on her now after hearing your name. Rodrick takes this time to join the conversation "you're sure right about that mom so nice to have new friends in the neighborhood" he says in a stupid fake agreeing tone slowly dragging his hand up your thigh and resting it under your skirt close to your heat. Your heart starts racing with the feeling of his long fingers around your thigh close to where you want him, "isn't it Y/N", he asks bring the conversation to you now a hot nervous mess under his touch. He squeezes your thigh catching you off guard but you manage to squeak out "yeah it's nice" with shakiness in your voice but no one notices, of course except for Rodrick. After flustering you he excuses himself to the bathroom while you help your mom clean up from dinner "Is everything alright sweetheart you seem a bit off?" Your mom ask you noticing your shade of red and flustered voice. "Yeah everything's fine just feeling a bit under the weather but I'm completely fine mom nothing to worry about" you asure her but something isn't sitting right, Rodricks been in the bathroom for the longest is he ok?, you think to yourself. As your parents join the Heffleys in the living room you make your way upstairs to check on the missing boy. "Rodrick" you call gently knocking on the bathroom door. No answer. You knock a couple more times before just opening it. To your surprise it's empty, you hear shuffling from your room at the end of the hallway and realize you've found him. You stomp towards the slightly open door and push it open to find Rodrick going through your stack of vinyls and other miscellaneous belongings. "What the fuck are doing?" you ask him slightly angry and annoyed at him for going through your stuff. He jumps a little spooked at the sudden voice but he eases when he sees its you "calm down dude I was just looking. You got some cool stuff here" he says in a snarky but impressed tone. You let out a sigh walking towards your bed and taking a seat "It's only half of what I had" your tone drifts off thinking all the posters and music and knick knacks that you once cherished. "Well what happened to it all?" He asks joining you on the bed flipping through a stack of cds in his hand. "We moved...a lot, so it all sort of got lost along the way, all of this is just what I managed to keep" you look at him a bit somber to see him now looking at you interest in his eyes. "How do you do it? Manage to go through all that shit with out breaking" he ask. You pause and take a breath "I just try and be supportive for my parents with their decisions, even if that means constantly moving and losing a lot of what I loved." Small tears well in your eyes and you wipe them away before he notices. "What do you miss most?" Slight sympathy in his big brown eyes. "It's really stupid" you roll your eyes and giggle at yourself. "Cmon it can't be that bad. I swear I won't say a word" You give in to his big brown puppy eyes "fine, I had this pink monkey stuffed animal that I had since I was little, I eventually lost in one of the moves, but that was my best friend pretty much my only friend through it all" you give him a weak smile and he returns it with a small nod. You share the quiet room and shy gaze with him until the door swings open. You both bring your gaze to the door to Greg looking out of breath like he ran for his life. "They're doing karaoke downstairs, I nearly escaped it, you guys have to let me stay up here" he says hurriedly. Rodrick stares daggers at him and he's visibly afraid by this so you intervine "Of course you can stay and hangout, I'll put on a movie to watch" you smile at Greg to assure him he's welcome. You set up pillows and blankets on the floor and put on a scary movie. You sit between Greg and Rodrick to keep the tension low. Greg and Rodrick are stuck your sides while the movie plays and every so often Greg would jump and squeeze your arm from fear. You ruffle his hair and assure him he's fine every time and this makes him calm a bit but it seems to do the opposite to Rodrick. You can't help but notice the way he glances daggers at Greg holding you for dear life. He clears his throat awkwardly "You know I don't think mom would want you to watch a movie like this Greg maybe you should go back downstairs and me and Y/N will finish it" he says trying to be convincing with fake concern on his face. You know what he's trying to do but you genuinely want Greg to stay, "It's ok we can just put something else on". You smile at Greg and he returns it, "Is that fine Rodrick?" you ask him now shooting daggers into his eyes, he slumps down and sighs "yeah whatever" he mumbles. You put on a more light hearted movie until it's time for them to leave. You walk the two out of your room but Rodrick stops you "No good night kiss?" He smirks at you but you roll your eyes and lightly push him out. You all say your good byes and they were out the door.
