You wake up late in the after noon sprawled out on your empty bed with a massive headache from the drinks last night. You rub your nearly stuck together eyes from the makeup and tear residuals crusting around them. Getting up to use the bathroom you step on your now dead phone plugging it in to check for any calls from your parents. You stand face to face with yourself looking in the bathroom mirror, puffy red eyes, black tear stains from your makeup, and hair all over the place 'this is it, you went from looking the hottest you've ever looked to the shittiest you've ever looked in one night all because you wanted to catch feelings for another asshole in another shitty town with shitty people' you sigh deeply and head for a shower in attempt to feel somewhat better.
After your shower you come back to your room to check your phone10 Missed calls from Rodrick
Rodrick: Y/N please answer
Rodrick: I'm sorry please answer my call
Rodrick: I just wanna talkYou roll your eyes seeing the desperate attempts and pleads from that asshole. Still nothing from your parents granted it is their anniversary weekend so they'll be back in a couple days and with school coming back in tomorrow you really could use the space from them. Instead of laying around all day and rotting you decide to wash your bed sheets as a start to get rid of your memories with Rodrick especially the ones shared in your bed, you tear up from the lasting smell on them before throwing them in the wash breaking down remembering the events of last night, 'so fucking embarrassing all those people you're gonna have to see tomorrow who saw everything last night how they saw Heather win' tears stream down your face wiping them off with your shirt you head back to your room, 'maybe rotting in bed all doesn't sound that bad after all'
Time skip
Your alarm wakes up from your deep depressing slumber, school is back whether you like it to or not so you peel yourself from the bed still missing its dressings and go to get ready. There is no effort for today you throw on a pair of baggy sweats baggy T-shirt and an oversized sweater slumping your way down to the empty kitchen to make yourself a disappointing bowl of cereal as your appetite simply can't fathom existing right now. You give up on the cereal and continue to get yourself as together as you could before making the dreadful walk to the bus stop. Your body seems heavier as you pass by the Heffley house staring at it as you go by glancing at Rodricks van you stop and stare at it that pit of rage coming back you spit on it and curse the van but more so the owner and go back on your way to the bus stop. The bus ride to school is thankfully calm the murky weather adding the ambiance and gloomy mood of the day although you can feel the glances being your way by those around you on the bus by of course by people you recognize from the party, you just keep your head low and try to disappear.
Entering the big somber buildings you're met back again with the deafening sound of the busy hallways especially coming back from the break. You feel more eyes on you as you walk to your locker trying to avoid everyone. Thankfully your locker remains plain worried about any sort of vandalism to it, you open it and a folded up piece of paper falls out to your feet. You pick it up Rodrick is written across it, looking around you see him at his locker glaring at you accidentally making eye contact with you. You roll your eyes and grit your teeth as you ball it up and throw it away in nearby trash bin. The bell rings and you book it to class really trying to avoid anymore awkward tension from what you already feel from the unwanted attention 'why the fuck are they all staring at me the the thing at the party wasn't even a big deal' You keep this question in your head all day till lunch rolls around, you go to to use the bathroom and instantly regret it as you walk in to Heather and her clones at the sink giggling fixing whatever trashy makeup they have on "Oh I guess the shit found it's way back to where it belongs, in the bathroom" she giggles them following along after "Im surprised to see you in here heather I thought you'd be in the boys bathroom getting busy on some brainless jock like you usually do" she looks at you very taken aback "especially after what you pulled at the party I'm surprised everybody in the school isn't getting in line to get it from THE Heather Hills since that is your specialty" she steps in close to you now full of anger "look you little bitch you're lucky I told only half the school what you were doing with that band freak but word does get around so I would keep your mouth and your legs shut" she grits through her teeth "I could say the same to you Heather but I know how much you love being an attention whore more so than just a regular whore" she backs up in disgust and small tinge of pride comes to you but it doesn't last long when she swings her hand back and lands a very sharp crisp slap across your face. Shock fills your body as you hold on your cheek burning red from the slap staring at her smug face curling up in a grin 'she can't win again you can't let her' rage fills your whole body as you come charging at her you swinging back yourself but this time landing a clean punch to her face picking her so hard you hurt your knuckles on impact. She whines and calls for help soon a counselor coming in to asses the problem. "Alright Ms. Hills it doesn't look too bad but you go on to the nurse anyway, and you," she looks down at you in pure disappointment "I'll see you in detention". Thankfully it's only detention could've gone way worse but the call to your parents really won't sit well when they come back.
The detention hall is quiet but the walk home is even quieter. The crisp air compliments the already dimming day getting dimmer seeing your parents car in the drive way signaling that they're home early form their trip. You trudge inside immediately feeling the tension and disappointment from your parents, tears start to well up in your eyes, "I'm so sorry I-," you choke out but your son stops you "it's ok just go and wash up I'll be right up to talk to you" you nod you head and slowly trudge up the stairs you legs feeling extra heavy this time. You throw your bag down and wash your face to try and calm your nerves when a knock a the door alerts you "come in" you sigh. You're mom comes in with a hot tea for you taking a seat on your still empty bed you joining her "I'm sure you know that school called earlier and told me what happened" "she hit me first" you cut her off, she breaks her gaze and nods "yes I believe you but you didn't have to go and almost break her nose like that, you're lucky they don't want to press charges as it isn't too bad, but still Y/N what's going on?" Your tears start to well over and run down your face "I hate it here this place is like every other stupid place we've moved to i really tried to like it but it's starting to show it's true colors, I just wanna go home" you sob out to her, she pulls you into a tight hug making you fully break down in her arms "This is home now Y/N" she pulls away and stares into your glassy red eyes seeing all of the pain and emotion you're going through, she sighs, "I'll talk your father about it maybe there's some place else he can transfer to" you stare back her, her soft smile reassuring you everything was gonna be ok you melt back in her arms embracing in another tight hug. She leaves the room after consoling you coming back in later with your fresh sheets and another hot tea. You don't what's gonna happen from this point you really don't want to make your family move again over a stupid mistake you had made of starting something with the wrong people and getting caught up in it, but hey maybe it'll be for the better to leave this one all behind.
