rin. "Welcome to PizzAmazing you piece of shits, what can I get for you?" I stood at the counter, filling in as the cashier for the day.

Normally, I'm in the back making the pizzas, but my cousin Yuki wanted to switch things up today. It's not my favorite part of the job, but I need the money.

"Extra pepperoni and a side of charm from the manager!" Atsumu called out, winking at Yuki, who was cleaning the tables nearby.

Yuki rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "You guys are impossible." she said, already starting on their order.

I prepared their drinks and brought them over to their usual booth, giving them a stern look. "Remember what I said about the discount."

Osamu grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "No promises."

Atsumu leaned back in the booth, his gaze sweeping across the bustling restaurant. "You know, for all our joking, this place is pretty great. You're lucky to work here."

"Yeah, yeah," I said, trying to hide my smile. "Just don't cause any trouble, alright?"

As I returned to the counter, I continued serving the stream of customers coming in.

"Okay, so one Hawaiian pizza. And what drinks would you like today, sir?" I asked the elderly man who had spent the past few minutes deliberating over the menu.

"Uhhhh..." he hesitated, still unsure. He was probably thankful that Yuki wasn't the cashier today. She would've pressured him to just get water instead.

Just then, the door chimed. I glanced up to see Aikawa Mai stepping inside. What is she doing here? This is the first time I've seen her at PizzAmazing.

"Hi, Suna." she waved, looking slightly out of place. "You got a minute?"

I glanced at the old man before turning back to her. "You know stalking is illegal, right?" I said, trying to signal for her to leave subtly so as not to scare the customer.

"Don't you have a break coming up?" she pressed. I sighed, turning to the old man. "One moment, sir." I said before stepping away from the counter to deal with Aikawa.

"But—" the man began, but I interrupted with a polite smile. "One moment, sir."

Leading the girl towards the door, I whispered, "I know you. You're not the type of girl to stalk an unknown guy like me. So, what do you want?"

She looked down, her confidence wavering. "How bold of you to assume I'm stalking you... can we talk? It'll only take four minutes, promise."

I looked back at the counter, where a small line was forming. My shift was busy, and I didn't have much time to spare, but something in her eyes made me pause.

Then I saw Yuki giving me a thumbs up and walking over to the counter, taking my place. I sighed and turned back to Aikawa. "Four seconds." I said sternly.

She smiled, seemingly undeterred. "So, I was wondering if you'd like to... teach me to play basketball?" she asked.

Is this girl serious? "You must've mistaken me for someone else. I don't play basketball." I replied, trying to make sense of her sudden interest.

What is she doing here? Earlier after class, she had approached me, but I walked away because it seemed a bit weird.

She then nervously chuckled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh, did I say basketball? Sorry, I meant volleyball." she corrected herself.

I raised an eyebrow, still suspicious. "Volleyball? Why do you want to learn volleyball all of a sudden?"

Aikawa looked around, biting her lip. "For the... sports day? Yes!" she said, her voice a little too enthusiastic.

This seemed a bit odd. "Since it's in three weeks, I need to learn and win, you know?"

"Why me? You could ask one of the twins to teach you." I suggested.

She shook her head quickly. "No! I've seen you play and you're really good." She gave me a thumbs up, but I noticed a bead of sweat on her forehead, as if she was lying.

"So, are you free tonight?" she asked. I immediately responded, "No." I literally do not want to teach her.

"Yes! He is very free tonight." Atsumu chimed in. I turned to see Atsumu, Osamu, and Ginjima looking at us with grins plastered on their faces. I could already sense the teasing.

"Really, guys?" I said, exasperated. Atsumu laughed. "Come on, Suna, it's not every day the top student wants to learn volleyball from you."

Osamu added, "Yeah, man, give her a chance. You're always saying you want a challenge." Ginjima nodded in agreement. "And who knows? It might even be fun."

smh.

"One moment." I said to Aikawa before walking over to my friends. "Are you three crazy?" I whispered, glancing back to make sure she couldn't hear us.

"Are you?" Ginjima shot back. "You've got the hottest chick at school stalking you. Aren't you at least curious?"

I sighed, knowing I was outnumbered and trapped. There was no way out of this.

I returned to Aikawa. "Fine. We'll start tonight. Six o'clock at the gym near 7-Eleven. But remember, you asked for this." I said, pointing at her for emphasis.

Her face lit up with a relieved smile. "Thank you, Suna. I really appreciate it." she said as I started to walk away.

But before I could go far, she added, "I was also wondering if you wanna eat dinner after—"

I interjected immediately.
"No." I said firmly, cutting off her invitation.

She nodded in surrender before mustering a small smile. "I'll see you later then." she said, waving goodbye before leaving the restaurant.

As my friends continued to snicker, I shook my head. "You guys are the worst."

"We know," Atsumu said, clapping me on the shoulder. "But we're your friends, so you're stuck with us."

"Yeah, yeah." I muttered, heading back to the counter. "She could be interested in ya, Suna." Atsumu said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

I knew this was coming. "No, she isn't." I replied, flipping him off, which only made them laugh harder.

"Sure buddy," Osamu chuckled. "But why else would she want to spend time with you?"

"Probably just desperate to win sports day." I said, trying to brush it off, but their laughter followed me as I returned to work, wondering what I had gotten myself into.
