rin. Yes, I went to prom. Shocking, I know, especially since I'd sworn up and down that I wouldn't set foot anywhere near that glitter bomb of an event.

But, as fate would have it, I ended up there anyway. Of course, I was fashionably late, arriving just in time to catch the tail end of Aikawa's speech as she was crowned prom queen.

Watching her up there, radiant in her beautiful dress, my heart did a cartwheel. She looked absolutely stunning, as always.

There she was, talking about valuing each other for who they truly are, and all I could think was how amazing she is.

I swear, under my mask, I was grinning like a fool every time she smiled at the audience.

After the speech, I mustered up the courage to talk to her, to tell her how i felt even after all that happened. But by the time I got through the crowd, she had vanished.

"Suna, you made it!" Ginjima exclaimed, spotting me instantly despite the mask. How he always recognizes me, I'll never know.

I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, I wasn't planning to, but here I am."

"You came too late, though. Aikawa just left." Osamu informed me, crushing my hopes with a single sentence.

"Oh." I muttered, feeling a pang of disappointment. "Seriously, dude, what's going on between you two?" Atsumu asked, his curiosity obvious.

Ignoring his question, I turned on my heel. "I gotta go talk to her." I said, sprinting toward the exit.

"But you just got here! Hey!" I heard Atsumu yell after me, but I was already outside, scanning the parking lot for any sign of her.

No luck. She was gone. Just my luck, right? A night that started with me debating even going ended with me chasing after a girl who seemed to vanish into thin air. Who knew prom could be this dramatic?

But I knew what I had to do. Go to her house. As I stood there, I contemplated my options.

Should I take the city bus or just run? Running felt a bit too dramatic and impractical. her house was a solid 25 minutes away, and it was pretty late.

Just as I was about to cross the street, a car pulled up in front of me. For a second, I thought my superhero moment had arrived. Turns out, it was just Kita.

"Where are you off to?" he asked, giving me a curious look. I took a step back, startled by the car's sudden appearance. "Somewhere." I replied vaguely.

Kita smiled, his eyes twinkling with that knowing look he always seemed to have. "Hop on." he said, unlocking the passenger door.

I hesitated for a moment but then slid into the passenger seat, grateful for the lift. "Thanks. I owe you one." I said, buckling up.
