An Unknown World: Volume 1 Replayed

CHAPTER 12: FORGOTTEN MEMORIES

We leave the ice dimension, yet something is still off. We land on the almost broken ground; The window shattering, screams, and fire all around us signifies, we've definitely made a huge impact. What happened to this place? "Holyyy..." Jess says.

The nearby skyscraper, now only a skeleton of concrete and metal, reveals its insides. It's him. Even through cracked glass, I can recognise him. He he turns. To us. From the buildings on fire, soldiers begin vomiting out, like fire ants coming out of their colony to defend it. And if it wasn't enough, he destroyed a supporting beam of the skyscraper. It's falling right onto us. What we hear next, is a war cry. "JAX!"

We all look up to the sky, and see him. I get ready to draw the ice sword, but before I could, we just appears right in front of us. Did he get faster?! Before I knew it I was punched right in my jaw, sending me to the side of a building. Damn! The glass shatters as I collide with the building. "I've been awaiting you for the longest time. I'm surprised you made it this far with your lacking attitude." Magen says. I dash over to him, and I teleport him through his own city, smashing him into the already destroyed buildings.

"Shut up Magen." I say. Did I win just like that? He's laid on the ground, quite asleep, or so I thought. He's already behind me and he slams me down onto the ground, forming a small crack in the building roof.

I bounce up and he kicks me away. This guy is tough. I fall onto the road and I draw my sword. I see him leap up and he lands onto the ground, leaving a huge amount of debris beneath him. Feeling the coldness of the sword right on my shoulder, I charge at him at full speed, and strike. He remains exactly where he stands, and just absorbs the hit, the blade just bounces back, but I can see that the part I hit is now blueish. What the hell? What's going on? I swing my sword two more times, but it just keeps bouncing back. I see a snarky expression forming on his face.

I keep swinging my sword, but it keeps bouncing back each time. He begins chuckling a bit, I'm so confused; He begins loudly laughing, and he kicks me away into a building. I get thrown through a building so hard it cracks. "Do you really think a mere sword will kill me? Jokes on you, I can't feel any slicing!" He says, before he began laughing loudly right in my face. "Jax you alright?" I hear Clyde say from a distance. I see him pop out of the corner, and he stands in front of Magen.

He looks so big, yet so small. Clyde gets into a fighting stance, while Magen stands around waiting for me to get up. He looks back at Clyde and he says, "And who are you supposed to be?"

Clyde doesn't talk and just begins punching him. He has no ability, why is he trying to risk his life for my sake? Magen just laughs and says, "Pathetic."

"Shut. your. mouth." Clyde says.

I look up and the sky and I see it darken, I look back at Clyde and it seems like his face went dark. His clothing just as dark as his face. Before I knew it, I was looking at Magen already pushed back far away from Clyde. I look at Clyde's fist and I see a dark aura emitting from his left fist, almost like a shadow; His right palm was open and facing the sky, a huge thunderstrike appears as he grabs it out from the sky. Magen runs toward Clyde and throws three punches, but Clyde dodges all of them. He sends a huge burst of lightning toward Magen, sending him far back.

Whoa! What the hell is going on?! I thought he didn't have powers? His eyes emit thunder out of them, like an electric current was truly flowing through him. His face was still angered. "Get up." Clyde says, as he extends his arm. I guess I'll fight alongside him, since then I'd be of good use now.

I pick up my ice blade and I place it back in it's sheath. I get in my fighting stance and I teleport over to Magen and slam him down into the rubble of the concrete. Clyde dashes over to Magen on the ground and blasts him right into a building. Well talk about a perfect jumping. I teleport to Magen and I punch him into a portal, sending him through the rest of the stories in the building.
