Sun and Moon| Luke Castellan Story

Chapter 9

Me and Luke started talking and I found out that he and Annabeth have been at camp the longest out of everyone here and his scar is from a quest that his father Hermes sent him on. I looked at him with sympathy then I realized him and Annabeth they both grew up way to fast. They both didn't get a happy childhood.

"I ran away when I was nine my mom was just... out of it." Luke seemed like he didn't really like this topic "I met then I met Thalia and Annabeth... well I'm done, now tell me something about you."

"What about me?" 

"I told you about me now it's your turn."

"What do you want to know about me?" 

"Anything, just tell me about yourself and your family."

"I'm 17 I can speak Samoan and Tongan and a little bit of Hawaiian. Me and my brothers went to military school for a bit that's where we learned how to properly fight and also use a gun."

"Your dad sent you there?"

"No my aunt did because she thought we could use some 'discipline' my dad didn't want to send us there but my aunt told him after she sent us there but we were only there for like 2, 3 years."

"So what's the reason why she thought that?" Luke asked he seemed intrigued in what I was saying I was hesitant at first because the reason isn't really a good thing. But he promised he won't judge or tell anyone.

"So I was born in Tonga before me my brothers and dad moved to California. So when I was around 13 I had massive anger issues and I would get into fights so would my brothers and I bashed this dudes skull and my brothers fractured his friends arm and broke his other friends hand."

I started to fiddle with my necklace a habit I did when I was nervous or anxious. I didn't really like this topic because I would get panic attacks from reminders of it and that basically shows how much I hated military school and how bad the experience for me was. 

"Koa... are you alright?" Luke asked me and he seemed concerned.

"Um yeah I'm fine." I tried to seem like nothing was wrong but I'm not so sure he bought it.

"Well it's getting late you should get some sleep." He said as he got up and walked over to his bunk. I went to sleep but I was still fiddling with my necklace when I got ready to sleep I was still a little nervous but not as nervous as I was earlier. While I was sleeping I woke up and heard something happen outside it sounded like a kid and two other people along with a creature but I'm not sure if I was right as this camp is full of unexpected things and there are a bunch of weird things in this camp. 

When I woke up the morning me and my brothers went to the basketball courts to play a little game first it was Moi and Kai vs each other which Kai was winning with 9-6. While they were playing I was sitting with my back against a tree waiting for my turn then I saw Cleo coming my way. 

"Hey Cleo." I said 

"Hi!" She seemed happy but also anxious about something.

"What's up."

"My little brother Grover he came back and he brought a demigod back with him but..." I don't know why but she seems like she doesn't seem so happy.

"Whats wrong?" I ask her trying to see if she's okay or not.

"Well um this kid his name is Percy and last night when they arrived they got into an accident." She seemed nervous and upset "And there ended up being a monster that attacked them but they both survived except for Percy's mother they don't know what happened to her and Percy should be waking up from being in the infirmary." 

"Cleo that's not all is it something else is bothering you." 

" Um Grover messed up on his first task on being a protector and this was his second chance and now I'm worried about what the council will do."  Cleo sound really stressed and even though I don't know her brother I still fell really bad for him.  Cleo also looked like she was about to cry.

"You and Grover must be really close if you're this worried about him."

"Yeah after our dad and uncle went missing we became close and I took care of him." She told me. I just gave her a slight smile then out of nowhere the basketball that Moi and Kai was thrown at us. It hit Cleo right in the head which made me shoot my head up to look at them. 

"WHAT THE HELL." I yelled at them which was quite loud. 

"Koa it's okay I'm fine." Cleo said while putting her hand on my shoulder. 

"Sorry Cleo." Kai said "and Ko calm down." I glared at him because yes, I might've had an outburst but dude you freaking hit the girl you like in the head with a basketball. After I was done talking to Cleo it was my turn to play basketball and Kai sat next to Cleo and they talked for a while and they were blushing as usual.

After we were done playing basketball Cleo left and said she was going to go see Grover So after that we just headed back to the cabin.
