Chapter 2

When all the kids got onto the bus Kai, Moi, and Koa were all still confused. "Do you guys remember what happened?" I  asked my  brothers "yeah but it seem like none else does" Kai answers me "just leave it alone you 2" Moi tells us "but" Moi cuts me off "Ko leave it alone" "okay fine". The whole ride back to school none said anything we were to confused to know what happened me and Kai also didn't want to upset Moi. When we got to school the announcement had me come to the front office because of what happened with me and Kat.

"Miss Ofa you and Miss Grant have been getting into many fights over the last 2 weeks and we feel that you both should receive a 2 week suspension"  their principal tells them "but that's not fair I didn't even do anything she should be suspended not me" Kat complained "Oh bullshit that's the biggest lie ever" Koa snapped back. "GIRLS you are almost 18 act like it!! or we will produce you're suspension to a month under stood" both of us  nodded our heads in agreement.

I walked out of the Principals office she saw Kai, Moi, and Cleo sitting there waiting for her "how bad is it" Cleo asked "I'm suspended for 2 weeks" "Koa you need to stop getting into fights" Kai tells her I  doesn't say anything I just nods my head we get our stuff and start to head home. 

When they walked into their house they say their dad working on something. "Hey pop"Moi says as we  put their stuff away,  dad just smiled at us "Hey guys um Koa I got a call from school today" he said while he puts his stuff away and stops working "I figured" I says knowing I might be in trouble "Kai, Moi you guys go to your room" Kai and Moi head to their rooms leaving Koa with their dad. "Babygirl you need to tell me what been happening you never get into fights" "I know, I know it's just that she's been getting on my nerves and won't leave Cleo alone" "Cleo as in Cleo that Kai likes" "uh yeah" dad just smiles at me "so you're fighting to protect your friend" "um yes" my dad just smiles at me "have I ever told you why I named you Koa". I shake my head no "well Koa means warrior, I gave you and your brothers meanings to your name and guessing by how you're defending your friend I made the right choices for your name" I smile and give my dad a hug. "But your grounded" my dad tells me "Okay" I say with a chuckle.

My dad has taught me and my brothers a lot of things like how to be independent, how to do defend ourselves, and he taught us how to speak Tongan also some samoan our native culture. It's always been the 4 of us for as long as I can remember, I don't remember my mom and dad doesn't like talking about her because to him family means everything and the fact she left him tells him everything but he never talks bad about her even though we know he's hurting. He's described her as a beautiful woman with beautiful ombre hair dark skin and sometimes her eyes were dark as night or green like green embers she also had so much confidence, she was fierce, not afraid of anyone or anything. She sounds amazing but I just wish she was around for us to meet. Dad always said me and my brothers have her dark as night eyes.

We moved to California when me and my brothers were about 12 we lived in Tonga for a bit me and my brothers are both half Tongan and Samoan so yes you could we were fobs if you don't know what fobs are they're basically immigrants but I would just say I was born in Tonga. I don't know why dad wanted us to move because all of our family lived in Tonga and we were all happy there but Nana and papa come visit every once and a while sometimes we go to visit them but we've live here in cali for 4 years almost 5. Me and my brothers turn 18 in a couple months then we might get into a college we each have 3 schools who are asking for us. Kai and Moi got scholarships for football and I got mine for softball.

My dad then let me go to my room I sat down thinking about what happened at school. What was that thing that turned into my teacher is everything okay I know I'm dyslexic with ADHD so are my brothers but that felt so real like why would the 3 of us pass out if it was nothing. I think Cleo and Mr. Bruner are hiding something but I don't know what and should I have mentioned something to my dad?"
