Sun and Moon| Luke Castellan Story

Chapter 7

Luke and Chris took us back over to the archery area is and I have a bad feeling. Yes maybe my aim is good but do they expect me to ACTUALLY shot an arrow. 

"Every god and demigod has a specific talent and right now we got to find what you're good at" Luke tells us. "Kai, Moi your with Chris Koa your with me" My brothers walked over to Chris while I was with Luke.

He handed me a bow and arrow. I just stared at him blankly "you really expect me to use this" "yeah, come on don't knock it till you try it" "fine but if this hits someone I'm blaming you". To be honest I didn't even try when I shot the arrow it flew into the lake and I think he could tell I wasn't trying because he looked at me what a really look. I just shrugged my shoulders "see I told you I suck" he took a deep breath "did you even try" "yeah I did" "are you lying" "yeah I am". 

Luke just chuckled at me "what's the point of lying to me if you're just going to tell the truth" "what's the point in me doing something if I'm not going to try even though you force me too" " fair enough. But come on Koa you have to try" "fine". This time I shoot the arrow and it landed straight in the middle of the target with ease. "Happy?" "You're telling me you could've done that first try" "yes." "Wow you really are something" "is that supposed to be a compliment?" Luke shrugged his shoulders "call it what you what you might as well be a forbidden kid"

I tilted my head in curiosity to what he meant. "Forbidden kid? What's that" Luke pauses for a moment realizing what he just said. "Um... you know who the big 3 gods right Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades right" "yeah, they're the most powerful ones amongst the gods and they're also brothers" "well like any other god they had children, demigods but they made a pact not to father anyone else because they agreed their children were getting to strong. They kept that pack in till Zeus's broke that and Thalia happened." 

"Who's Thalia" I was actually being considerate to what he was saying and not being my normal self that seems like she doesn't give  a shit or is being rude or sarcastic. "She was my friend... I we were on the road monsters everywhere, a forbidden kid draws attention more than usual then one day we met this little girl we figured out she was a demigod too we were worried about taking her in exposing her to all that danger till we saw her fight" I smiled at this because I'm guessing that little girl was annabeth. "Thalia didn't make it but Annabeth and me did and we've been family ever since she's my little sister".

"I'm sorry about your friend but I'm glade you still have someone" Luke nods in acknowledgment to what I said. "You know even though you don't look it you seem to be very caring" "all you have to do is start a conversation with me and you'll see that I can be caring" "I'll keep that in mind." Luke pauses for a moment then snaps back "uh it's about time for swordsmanship training lets go get your brothers and Chris."

We walk over to where my brothers and Chris are. I saw both Moi and Kai get their targets but right now I'm guessing that Kai will like swordsmanship a lot more than he likes archery and maybe the same for Moi but I'm not sure.  You see Kai is a lot bolder and hot headed than me and Moi then Moi is calmer and more mature him being the oldest out of the 3 of us. For a long time I've been in their shadow. A lot of people know me as "the twin's sister" but they don't even know we're triplets I've always been in their shadow so I'm really not sure if this will be any different.

Anyway we walked over to the swordsmanship area and no gonna lie THIS feels like something I am either gonna suck at or get hurt or maybe both. So right now I am expecting myself to fail, get hurt, and probably suck so bad. 

"So me and Chris are going to give you a demonstration then we'll pair up and you'll do it"Luke told us. Right now I'm feeling nervous because Cleo said he is the best swordsman in all of camp and I am pretty competitive so are my brothers so I don't feel like someone should be giving us swords that can kill somebody, especially me because I'm the most competitive out of us 3 and I hate losing.

We watch as Luke and Chris get their swords and into their placements, "We're just going to do a bit of sparring for today." We watch as Luke and Chris begin to spar I can see why Luke is the best swordsman in all of camp but don't get me wrong Chris looks like a good swordsman but now I know why Lukes considered the best swordsman in all of camp. I see Luke rush at Chris with his sword but Chris deflects it and goes to slash Luke but he slashes his sword as well and we hear the metal of their swords cling as they continue to spar in till Luke disarms Chris and knocks his sword out of his hand.

"See simple as that" Luke says, "You guys should be fine we'll have same partners for when we were doing archery expect we'll rotate so we can see how good you are at this." I walk over to where Luke is while my brothers walk over to Chris, "also one at a time for this if you didn't get that." Luke hands me a sword and it kinda feels like a skinner and slightly lighter softball bat, okay so maybe I will be good at this but anyway Luke shows me how to grip the sword then we starting sparring and not gonna lie I almost tripped like 5 times he swung his sword near my head and I just barely ducked.

I swung my sword towards him and he hit it away like it was nothing. I got tired of him hitting my hand away so I started swinging like I do when batting (which is fast) and Luke looked like he was having a hard time in till he swing and knocked the sword out of my hand he had a smirk on his face and seemed entertained. "Nice try Koa but I've been doing this for a long time" "well I'm ready to switch now" Luke lets out a chuckle "I'm guessing you don't like losing" "nope" "I have a question where'd you learn how to swing that fast?" "Softball." I told him plane out and simple, "softball?" "Yeah didn't I just say that" I had some sass in my tone of voice and I'm pretty sure he can tell because of the way he looked at me after.

"No need for an attitude just asking a question" "uh sorry? I guess" "you got a big attitude you know that?" "Yeah I do" he shook his head with a smile then motioned me to follow him to where my brothers and Chris are. As we walk over toward the 3 of them I see Chris knocking Moi's sword out of his hand and Kai sitting on a nearby rock talking to Cleo and it looks like he just finished sparring with Chris.
