"Izuku Yagi?"
The teacher frowned as he didn't hear the usually cheery voice belonging to his most favoured student. He lifted his head and looked around, lavender eyes scanning the classroom before his they landed on Izumi.
"Izumi, did Izuku not come to school today?"
Izumi only rolled her eyes, "How am I supposed to know? Do I look like a loser's keeper to you?" The teacher's lips pressed into a thin line as he fought the urge to reply to her with a snarky remark and went on with roll call.
He could ask around later to see if he was alright.

"Oi, Izumi, where's the deku?" The preteen let out a groan and turned to her spiky-haired friend.
"How the hell am I supposed to know? I thought people didn't want him around so why does everyone suddenly care?" Bakugo frowned and rummaged around his bag before whipping out a familiar notebook.
"I found this near an alley on my way home yesterday. Do you think something happened to the loser?" Izumi scoffed and pushed the notebook away from her, "I saw him come home last night. Kinda disappointing if you asked me."
"If you're worried about the idiot then stop. He'll probably show up tomorrow and if he doesn't then he's probably dead somewhere. Either way, it's a win for me so stop bothering me." Bakugo watched as she stormed off and held the notebook closer to him.

"Izumi, it's been a week since Izuku came to school. Is he alright?" the homeroom teacher asked worriedly. "He's perfectly fine. Maybe he's realized that he's not needed here and decided to stop showing up." the man sighed as everyone snickered.
The man decided to step out of the classroom of cruel children and ask the principal for Izuku's parents' contact.
"Mr. Watanabe, shouldn't you be in class?" the principal asked as the teacher walked in. "I should be. But something came up and I decided to find answers by myself."
"What happened?"
"Izuku Yagi. He hasn't shown up in school for the past week." The principal frowned. "Is he sick?"
Watanabe shook his head and sat down, "According to his sister he's perfectly fine but..."
"You're afraid the students finally did something to him?" Watanabe nodded. "I don't want to jump to any conclusions but can I have his parents' contacts to make sure he's home?"
"Of course, let me just look up his file." the principal muttered as she typed something on her laptop. "Strange, there's no contact here."
"How is that even possible?" Watanabe began to get a sick feeling in his stomach.
