"hey Jaan,

It's me, sweetheart,

for my beautiful girl, there's a beautiful gift for you

accept it because I don't like rejections

You know that, right?

have a good night jaan

love you"

Again, it's him. I blanked for a moment. What is going on and who is he? Why is he doing all this? I felt that he was unknown to me that day only. So who will it be? This also feels creepy to me. His words and his letter clearly screamed domination, obsessiveness, and warning, as if he had not shown any emotions such as love, care, or request.

Once I had read it again, I opened the envelope and found a pouch. When I opened the pouch, I saw a beautiful ring. In this horrifying situation, too, I smiled and I was a little overwhelmed by excitement when I saw the ring.

I would totally accept it without any second thought, if it wasn't from that creepy person because this ring is so beautiful, but it appears quite expensive as well.

Actually, it's a ring made of rose diamonds and gold, in the shape of a lotus. I really loved it, but I couldn't accept it. So, I took the ring and letter, packed it again in the same envelope, and placed it next to that dress in my cupboard.

As I sat on my bed, my hand was trembling with fear as I recalled the incident of the party night. I started to worry about what he would do if he found out about my second rejection of his gift and what would happen if I didn't wear that ring.

Suddenly, the thought of what he could do if I wasn't around crossed my mind. I was planning to leave for Bangalore for two days, but I decided to take an additional two or three days off to calm down and regain control of the situation. This way, he wouldn't be able to find out whether I accepted his gift or not. It seemed like a good idea, and I needed a break from all the frustration.

After the incident, I called Nidhi and told her everything along with my upcoming plans. She was very supportive and offered to help me with my work and some projects. I thanked her and then called my department manager to request a week's leave. At first, she denied my request, but upon lying about my mother's illness and pleading for some time, she finally agreed. She asked me to send the leave application via email, which I immediately did after thanking her and ending the call.

After packing and booking my flight ticket, I had dinner and went to sleep.I completed all my packing the night before, and this morning I finished my routine and had breakfast since my flight was scheduled for 11:30. I started getting ready, and after half an hour, the cab I had booked to go to the airport also arrived. I took my luggage and my bag, settled them in the cab, and then got in myself. Then we made our way to the airport.

After two hours, I landed in Bangalore, and from there I took a cab to my home. I am feeling very calm after arriving here. Bangalore is one of my favourite places, and it's not too different from Mumbai, but it's where I grew up and spent my entire childhood.
