The story is about the love and hate between two souls.
It's about a girl named Meera Sharma who is very sweet, kind, and bright. She went through many difficulties in her painful past life but never gave up. When she is leading her life successful...
It was morning when Meera opened her eyes. Because of the sun's rays, she closed her eyes again to adjust to the brightness. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and looked around, then realized that she had fallen asleep sitting on the floor while crying. After rubbing her face with both hands, she got up from the floor and went to the washroom slowly. Standing in front of the mirror, she looked at her miserable state and once again a lone tear escaped from her eyes. Before it could touch her cheek, she roughly wiped it away...
After freshening up, she came out of the bathroom and looked at the clock, which showed 8:25 am. To dry her wet hair, she went near the dressing table and started to dry her hair with a hairdryer. Vidya entered her room and said to Meera,
"Meeru, this lehenga is for you. It's already altered to your size, so don't worry. Wear it and get ready quickly. It's already 8:30, and guests will be here till 10 o'clock."
Upon hearing her, Meera glanced at the onion pink lehenga in disinterest and without any excitement on her face. If it were for a different occasion or if her engagement took place with her consent, she would have definitely loved the lehenga and been excited about it.
However, due to the forced relationship, she didn't like the lehenga at all and felt uncomfortable even thinking about wearing it for just a few minutes. While she was lost in these thoughts, Vidya called her again and asked,
"Meera, what are you thinking? Don't you like the colour of the lehenga?"
Hearing her, Meera said with an expressionless face,
"Meri pasand naapasand se koi farak padtha bhi hai kisi ko yaha?"
("Does my likes and dislikes matter to anyone here?")
Hearing this, Vidya lost words to answer her back and felt pain in her heart because of the harshness of Meera's words. But she stayed strong and said,
"Get ready fast."
Saying this, she put the dress on the bed and left the room.
As she looked at the dress, Meera felt a pain in her chest, realizing that her mother's ignorance was something she could not tolerate, yet it was something she was now facing. She gently caressed the dress with her left hand, and then her gaze fell on the ring on her ring finger. Tears started to well up in her eyes. On one side, there was the dress from her mother, and on the other side, there was the ring from her stalker. Both had been forced upon her. She was not ready for either of them, and she had not approved of either. Both were imposed on her without her consent. Thinking about all this, she began to sob.
