(11) Asking for forgiveness

Phayu made rain upset. He shouldn't let this take long in the first place, if he did the situation might change and not be like this. This is worst thing he did in his life except being hard headed and stubborn to his parents, but more worst that that.

If only he could go back in time, turning it around so the situation won't be like this but unfortunately he has no powers unlike those characters from fantasy and fictional stories his mother read to them when he was younger.

Phayu stayed distance to him letting rain breathe and give space for him, hoping to think about forgiving phayu for lying to him. Phayu didn't mean to lie to him, he supposedly just want to prove that rain is not like what he thinks of him before yet he was wrong when he found about rain's bubbly and kind personality, which is the opposite.

"Is there anyway I'm could fix this?" He ask to his self, so he could also answer his own question too.

"Sir. The royal queen is here"

"I apologize for not appearing to the date the royal queen and king prepared" phayu deeply apologize to the queen, he even kneel down being sincere about his apology.

The royal queen held his arm assisting him standing up "take a seat first"

"Now, tell me the whole reason for not attending" phayu hesitate. but who can escape from their problem if they don't face them, no one.

"I'll be honest, your Royal highness. Actually, I've met the prince" phayu chuckle a little as he lower his head. The royal queen was stunned of what the prince said, she's actually thankful for him being honest. And that's the thing he didn't did to rain.

"It's just... I didn't address my self as a prince" the royal queen got confused a bit. "Why?" The royal queen ask.

"I present as a servant who works inside the palace" the royal queen almost laughed but she held it back. "How funny how my rain and you meet then" queen chuckle but phayu didn't.

"Alas, I made rain upset for lying about it" the queen then sit beside him and brush her hand comforting the prince. "That's why they always said, face all your problems cause it won't help if you escape from it or you will regret in the end"

"Talk to him or go to his chambers, if he didn't let you in then talk behind the doors. And speak out all of those words you want to let out, you want an to say or tell him. Go and make up with him"

"I wil, your royal highness" phayu without any delay he quickly changes his clothes and he bravely go straight where rain's chamber is located.

He hesitates to knock on the door but he remembers the royal queen's advice, she said earlier.

Knock knock knock

"Your royal highness. May I asked for you presence?" Phayu ask. Waiting for an answered behind the door.

Rain agrees and his butler the one asked him to tell him, Sky widely open the door for the prince and closes it from outside leaving his royal highness and prince phayu inside.

Phayu sat across rain. Phayu for the first time felt nervous, he didn't know how or when he could start a conversation with rain. Should he apologize first before he told the reason or otherwise? Phayu wish someone could give him a quick advice for this but he didn't have anytime to asked someone, he should've asked his cousin first yet this idea didn't came up before.

Phayu is a smart and intelligent prince, his parents learned that when he was 6 years old but he's IQ seems matured than his age but now how he became dumb just because of this problem with rain. Why can't he think of any possible ideas for him and rain to make up and solve this?

"Tell me your purpose here immediately I have something else to do other than meeting you" rain breaks the silence, by his tone phayu knew how angry rain was. Rain gaze at him with small frown and a straight looking face.

Phayu having a second thought right now "rain- I mean you're royal highness..." Phayu started by calling him. "I really didn't mean to lied to you I just-" he was cut off.

"So you can make fun of me? Yeah right. Are you happy now?" Rain used sarcastic tone. "I swear I really didn't mean to, rain" phayu wanted to approach rain but his body seems heavy right now.

"Then why did you lied if you really didn't mean to!? Hah, phi'phayu" rain scoffed "oh, it should be prince phayu" he gave a stress when rain said his name. "Because I want to test you if I am right about you" phayu stopped then continue.

"You see, my mom was the one who ordered me to go here and of course I was force to agree on my mom. I was called by the royal queen and king after I arrive, they said you and I are perfect for each other but I disagree on what the queen said. You know why? Cause I misjudge you, at first, I thought of you being a bratty, spoiled, and arrogant prince after he was announced as the lost prince of Nuttarat Kingdom. But I was wrong, you were the exact opposite of what i said."

Phayu gathered all his strength but instead of sitting beside him to apologize closer to him, he kneel instead lowering his head as if he was greeting rain. Phayu kneel not to respect him or greeting him, he kneel to apologize sincerely without any jokes or lies mixed in.

"I am willing to face any punishment you'll gave to me. You can also choose to ignore me or what so ever, you can banded me here or even prohibited me from going here. Just so, you could forgive me on what I've done"

Rain suddenly felt sympathy for phayu but his anger over run that sympathy of his. Rain might or might not forget about what he did, it was the first time rain felt a betrayal and phayu is the first one to do that deed. It might be the same situation when rain learned he's a prince from a kingdom and the parents whom he grow up with is not his biological parents, but for rain it was even more painful than that.

"30 days" rain abruptly said. That made phayu raise his head gazing at rain's eyes, it wasn't shining or glowing anymore unlike what he seen before, there's always a bubby and cheerful smile who greets him always but now there's none.

"I'll give you 30 days, gave me a reason why should I forgive you" rain says, avoiding his eye contact. Rain become unease, his hands are trembling. Rain take glance on him before going to his bed. "Make sure to close the door after you leave"

Rain pretend to be asleep. he was able to hear his footsteps slowly leaving and a creek of the door after phayu closes the door. As soon as he leaves, rain sit up on his bed. Thinking twice recalling what phayu said.

"I am able to forgive you? Or we will ended up being engaged together not as a lovely marriage couple but as a stranger who wasn't reconcile because of a simple problem?" Rain over thinking. Is this even the right? Or wrong choice?
