(13) Fever: trauma

A introvert young man in his high school is currently eating his lunch prepared by his mother together his with HIS friends who's almost the exact same age as him.

"Va. were friends, right?" va is his nickname given by them. "Yes, why?" he sudden got confused by his friends question. then they burst out laughing gazing on each other like they are teasing someone. the boy is confuse once again by their actions, not knowing the reason why laugh out of no where. he thought a joke appear on their minds that they started laughing but he was wrong. "And do you think you're also our friend? don't make me laugh, va"  

"Cause..." they goes infront of him and says "we will never have a friend who's uglier than a beggar" 

10th day of asking for rain's forgiveness, phayu was on his way going where he and rain's usual spot is. He arrives there yet not figure or shadow of rain was found, so he search for someone he can asked for and there he found ostel.

"Your highness" phayu catches his breath first. "Sir ostel. Have you seen, rain?" He ask and ostel answered "oh the prince, his royal highness is currently on his chamber resting" ostel answered. "His royal highness caught a fever yesterday, that's why he's unable to attend today's training"

Without any delay, phayu ran away leave ostel behind "I wonder why his highness asked for his royal highness?"

When he arrives there sky was seen carrying a small tub with warm water and white towel floating. "How's rain?" He worried ask sky. "His fever didn't even decrease it gone higher instead. Your highness, can you stay with royal highness for awhile, I needed to prepare his lunch so he could drink his medicine" phayu nodded and goes inside.

He found rain covered with blanket in his whole body, rain continuously frowning his eyebrow and whispering some words that inauble for phayu to understand it made him very worried, Phayu felt hurt witnessing rain in pain because of his sudden fever. if only he could take all of those so rain won't be like this anymore, let him have that fever instead of his beloved rain.

That's when phayu didn't realize how important rain to his life right now, his not just his fiance on because their parents arrange the two of them. he is now the light that lighten up his world.. his sun.. and everything that could describe rain. "I'll be here to ease your pain, my rain" he tightly held him and rain did the same.

"please don't leave me..." Phayu got confused but he held rain even more warming rain with his hand. "I'll not leave, rain" he place it beside his cheeks. "Sleep well. I will be in charge taking care of you"

"Ugly, ugly ugly!" That word kept repeating on his mind. Rain just wanted to dissipate on the thin air like he never exist in this world, isn't like someone ever wanted to be friends with an ugly looking manlike him. His parents kept encouraging him like 'your way beautiful, rain. Me and papa always love you just the way you are' but rain can't help to feel negative thoughts about them, about them insulting rain.

Because of this, rain almost fell on deep depression that he almost didn't wanted to go to school because of his them, he isolate himself inside his room and never ever wanted to go outside. So, to help rain, his parents decided to enrolled him to another school away from those children bullying rain.

One thing appeared on rain's mind "just like from my previous school... Ignoring me like I never exist" that's what settled in his mind. All of sudden, a shadow of two person was seen in the corner of his eyes. Rain lowered his head and thinking they would bully him like what happen before.

"I am sig, what's your name, buddy?" The person named sig asked. Now rain gave them a eye contact "and this is por my friend" he Introduce his friend beside him. "Wanna join us?" He offered.

Rain was silent. He's having a second thought right now, thinking it might happen again. "Don't be shy or afraid, isn't like were gonna hurt you, you know?" He received a slapped behind his head from por. "Sig! Your scaring him!"

"Don't mind this idiot. Can you tell me your name?" Now por is the one who asked. "I.." rain hesitate. "It's okay. if you're still uncomfortable of telling, you can take your time" a warm and assuring smile from him.

Sig and Por always join rain so they can gain rain's trust. they might not know what happens but sig and Por didn't mind asking him, it might made rain even more uncomfortable with them. They gave rain even more time to finally trust and finally telling him his name.

"There you are! We're searching for Almost 2 minutes just to find you" sig said , gasping an air to breathe. "We thought you're in cafeteria cause it's the place where you mostly spend your free time" por sat down as he said those.

"S.sorry.." for the first time, sig and Por finally hear his voice and him talked. "Por can you slapped me, I think I am hallucinating" por is a good friend and did what he asked for "damn.. I am not hallucinating... I really hear him talked!" He yelled.

"Finally comfortable talking to us?" He asked rain, he give them a small nod. "Let's start at the beginning, once again, I am por. He is sig" he introduced. "Hi!" Sig added. "I.. I am rain.." a shy tone of rain.

"Hello. Rain can we be friends with you?" Por and sig said in union, offering their hand to rain. "Y.yes" rain forward his left hand to sig's and right to por's.

"Shall we celebrate this, por?"

"Of course! Our dear friend rain finally talked so it's worthy to celebrate it"

Rain change his impression on sig and Por, his now very comfortable with them. he just didn't though that someone like por and sig is willing to wait for so long just to gain his trust and talked to them. Thanks to them rain is able to return to his self but a new version of himself and not the old rain who use to be before, and it's all thanks to sig and Por. He is very thankful for them, the word thank you isn't enough.
