(7) Arrange Marriage

"We... Umm.. will you be mad if we say that you're engaged with someone?"

Rain unintentionally spill his drink in the ground "WHAT!?" Rain yelled, his voice it ecoed in the whole room. "We kinda arrange you with someone before you were born?" Her sentence almost like asking a question.

"Why?"

"We already talked about this with them so no back outs" his father says.

"But why? Why didn't you even told me about this earlier?"Rain sat. He is still upset, who won't get mad? If you just learned this news and YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW, YOU'RE ENGAGED WITH SOMEONE!?

"Now fantasies stories is starting to happen..." Now rain's hungry stomach become empty and didn't feel like eating now, He just drank some fresh juice and bite some unknown desserts served on the table.

Rain stare on the stars shinning above the dark sky, this day might be the day he's tired the most. Not because of the training but the information he learned for almost everyday.
His mind shifted to his adopted parents "I wonder how are they? Did mom always take her medicine? Are they eating properly?" Thinking all of this makes him worried and miss them. Rain rests his head on his arm and says "I wish I could met phayu right now, I needed to let this all out"

As soon as his duties and task was delivered by Aon, he did all of that as soon as he can
, He can't wait to hangout with rain again in their meeting place.

"Aon" he was halt after was called. "Could grab me some plain clothes" He was faze and confused why the prince wanted those, "for what, your highness?" Phayu didn't answer by just smiled as he lower his head think of rain.

From the west wing of the palace, a duke together with his daughter are grinned in anger after hearing the come back of the lost prince. The duke smashed the table "Impossible!" He refuses to believe. "I am telling the truth, your highness. The prince is really back, that's what I heard from the main palace"

Princess became anxious and gaze into her father "what will we do father?" The duke slides his eyes left to right thinking a solution for their problem. "For now, let's execute our plans little by little, we don't need to hurry disposing the prince's presence. We still need him as a pawn and bait for our plans" he says. "Also, set a meeting with your other comrades. We need to discuss and plan" he added.

After his men leave, his daughter walk towards him "How sure are you that our plan will work out and not against us, father?" Ple, his daughter asks.

Ple is still anxious after learning the news. Hers and his father's plan should work properly or else every will be in vein, everything will disappear like a bubble if anything gone wrong.

Ple can't also let her prince get snatch by her cousin. She will do everything she could just to have him, owned by him and not some else's, cause only ple is the right person for her prince. So she will help his father and do everything just to have what's hers.

"Ple, my daughter. Everything will be according to our plan, so don't stress yourself out. We just need to do it step by step" her father goes her behind and whispered "don't worry, cause we will take everything that should be ours, in the first place"

"First, befriend with him if you can and make sure you gain his trust, hm?" Ple smiled as if victory is already in her side.

"Rain!" Payu came in their usually place. "Good thing you arrive. Come! And join me" rain is currently resting and eating the desserts ostel gave earlier to him.

For now, rain's training stopped due to something came up that ostel's schedule got filled suddenly. So, rain decided to go at the garden (their usual place) to have the rest of his time there.

"I am I even allowed to eat those good-looking desserts?" He asks. Yes, he can actually. After all, he is a prince like rain too. "Tell me who didn't allow you, let me slapped him or her now" rain joked.  Phayu curve his smiled and sat across where rain is seating.

"Tell me, phayu" rain started a conversation. "If your family suddenly arrange you with someone you didn't met or know, how will you react?"

Phayu almost spilled all the juice inside his mouth after he hear what rain said to him, his eyes are widen as well.

Well.. to Phayu, his first impression of rain, he would be a bratty, arrogant after gain a power and status, clingy, and anything you can think of. But, phayu was wrong, rain was the opposite of all what he said to him. Especially, after meeting him and knowing him personally.

Phayu just made a mistake of introducting himself as a servant who work inside the palace, instead of introducting as his fiance. Phayu just prayed that rain wouldn't get mad and ignore him after knowing his true identity, so as soon as possible he should be telling rain the truth or else he might lose him and never gain his favor again.

"I.. um.. it will be a big news to know" phayu stopped himself from stuttering as he said those sentence. "I know right!" He exclaimed."Why did you asked?"

Rain huffed "I don't know... It's just... I myself can accept this marriage but... That person might not.." rain sounds low spirited. "You know, not actually like me" he added. Phayu wanted to release his voice and tell rain that he's actually not, but it's not the right timing to tell him. But he promised he won't kept it for long.

"I am sure he's not, your royal highness" he say, so rain could feel relieved. But rain smiled is gloomy and no happiness can be seen, he still didn't believe his friend words. Rain inside his mind starts to over think: what if he rejected me? What if we called off the engaged? What if just agree because he was forced? What if..!

Phayu seen rain remain in fazed so he started to shake him by holding his shoulder and calling him, "Rain? Your royal highness?"

"Sorry... I space out"

"Don't think any negative thoughts about it, your royal highness. Think positive instead. I know, Not all prince and princess are like that, so please give that person a chance" he asked for that person which is him.

"I think your right.. sorry for badmouthing them" he apologize.

"You're not badmouthing them, you're just thought of them in negative way"

"Thanks for being my side"

"I will always be, your royal highness"
