Chapter 12

"Sorry to bother you..??" I asked one of the golden knights wrapping my hand. "Benjamin your Highness and no problem." He smiled.

They escorted me back to my seat. Elijah looked at me then back at the fight. It was already the fourth round. There was three men left fighting.

"Annabelle?" I whispered smiling seeing her take a seat near us. "Hello your Highness." She grinned. "Who do you think is going to win this one?" She asked and then Elijah looked at me again.

I looked at the last two men fighting in the middle of piles of bodies. "The one wearing red." I answered. "Why him?" Elijah asked. "I don't know. He has a nice body." I shrugged looking at the mans muscles.

"He does doesn't he?" Annabelle giggled. "I can see those abbs even from here." She added and I agreed. Elijah scoffed and turned back around just to see the man in red plunge his sword through the opponents neck.

"The fifth round now..after this one its the finals. That's my favourite one." Annabelle spoke and I nodded my head.

Around ten minutes of Annabelle and I chatting a large group of men came out of the entrance as the crowd clapped.

I secretly closed my eyes for most of it. I hoped he wouldn't notice. I squinted my eyes at one of the ten people left fighting.

"Is that a woman?" I asked. "..it is. Never seen that before." He said. "Good for her." Annabelle clapped. "She's amazingly quick." I smiled but then shivers went down my spine when she punched one of the men then stabbed him in the heart.

Elijah was intrigued and leaned forward as the crowd grew louder. There was only her and one other man. "Do you know who the woman is?" I asked Benjamin. "No idea Your Grace. She looks young though." He said interested.

I stood up from my seat to get a better look at the fight. Her opponent seemed to have the upper hand. She was on the ground but just as he was about to plunge his sword she kicked his leg causing him to fall on top of her.

I was confused when he wasn't moving. But then I saw a small blade going through his neck then suddenly blood pooled from him. I clapped my hands in surprise when she stood up and struck her sword in the air.

Then all the Villagers stood up and cheered loud but it was the girls cheering the most.

The woman looked at Elijah and bowed. Then she looked at me and she smiled and winked. "Oh Goodness I hope she wins!" I said in excitement.

For what seemed like ages went by and now it was time for the final. The five winners walked into the pit and all bowed in front of us.

Keegan went back down and started introducing them but I wasn't really paying attention until it came to the girl. "Now presenting..Agatha Viles! Twenty years old and from Liora!" He yelled and I clapped my hands.

"Last but not least we have Darren Smith! Twenty two and from the capital!" Keegan yelled again.

"Who do you think is winning this one?" I asked my husband. "Darren. He's very skilled." Is all he said. "I think it's Agatha." I grinned. He hummed.

I watched closely as the five of them fought. The guy wearing red ended up being completely outmatched by Darren and then dying. I watched Agatha stab her sword through a big man then pulling the blade up , killing him instantly.

Darren was now in the middle of a sword fight with another man but not long after he won, now it's only Agatha and him.

I looked at Elijah and he was furrowing his eyebrows. He looked like he was very deep in his thoughts. Agatha was small but quick and Darren was big but slower.

It was an amazing fight but then after awhile they circled around each other catching their breaths.
Just as they were about to clash again Elijah stood up causing them to stop and suddenly everyone looked at him.

"Agatha and Darren are both amazing fighters it would be a shame if one was to die today." He said and my face brightened. "For the first time there will be two winners!" He yelled and everyone cheered.

Agatha and Darren fell to the ground with relief on their face. I clapped my hands again.

"It's time for you to go now." Elijah said. "What?" I said in shock. "You can meet them later. I have to go through a lot processes with those two. There's no point in you being here now." He strictly said.

"Bu-" I started but then he glared at me which made me Shut my mouth.

I was in the middle of cleaning the staircase with Kiana when chatter was heard outside.

"Kiana how do we become one of Her Majestys personal maids?" I asked her. "Oh wow uhm you would have to be here for years to earn the loyalty. Or very specifically chosen from the head maid." She said.

"Who's her personal maids now?" I asked again. "Margaret mostly. Im so jealous of her...Her Majesty favours her and Margaret is always clung to her." She sighed.

"Oh." I said then the large doors opened and in came Anastasia along with Knights. The both of us bowed as she walked past. "She's like a Goddess with her beauty." Kiana whispered.

Anastasia turned around , making the both of us surprised. "Thank you. You are beautiful as well." She smiled. "I- th-thank you!" Kiana bowed again then she continued walking.

"Did you see that?!!!" She jumped squealing. "I did." I laughed nodding. "I can't wait to tell everyone." She giggled. "They won't believe me.." she sighed.

"You have a witness." I pointed at myself making her smile again. The both of us jumped in shock when there was a loud noise outside. The doors forced open and in came soldiers wearing green.

"It's rebels." Kiana whispered and then we started running up the staircase as the palace guards fought the large group. "KILL EVERYONE IN YOUR SIGHT!" A man yelled.

"Whoever brings me the head of the Empress will get a reward. COME ON WE DO NOT HAVE LONG UNTIL THAT DAMN EMPEROR COMES BACK!" He shouted again.
