After their honeymoon, Alexander and Sophia settled into their new life together. They bought a small house near the university, a cozy place where they could build their future. Alexander continued his work on the time machine, while Sophia started a new job at an environmental research firm.
Their days were busy, but they always made time for each other. They cooked dinner together, went for evening walks, and spent weekends exploring the city. Their love grew stronger with each passing day, and they were happier than they had ever been.
One evening, as they sat on their porch watching the sunset, Alexander took Sophia's hand. "I have something to tell you," he said, his voice serious.
"What is it?" Sophia asked, sensing his unease.
"I've been thinking a lot about the time machine," Alexander began. "And I realized that while it's important, it's not the most important thing in my life. You are. And I don't want my work to come between us."
Sophia squeezed his hand. "I appreciate that, Alexander. But I know how much this project means to you. I support you, no matter what."
Alexander smiled, feeling a surge of love for his wife. "Thank you, Sophia. With you by my side, I know I can achieve anything."
