This is the story of a young lad, trying to find his path in the world of Pokémon, and chasing his dream. Currently, he is following his dream and trying to beat the Pokémon League with his bestfriend / rival, Fubuki. Kai and Fubuki were best friends ever since they were little. They are both 10 years old, but Kai is a few months older.
As Kai was dreaming about the Pokémon he would choose, suddenly his alarm clock rang...
"Beeep, Beeeep" The alarm clock ringed.
Kai woke up and was very excited... that is until he looked at the time...
IT WAS 10:00 AM !!
He had overslept. Every pokemon trainer's worst fear. And it had actually happened to him.
As he ran down the stairs, he saw his mom cooking pancakes, but he knew he couldn't stop. He was already late and couldn't afford to lose even a minute.

At the lab
Kai barged in. "Ah Kai, I was just waiting for you" said the professor. "Your friend Fubuki has already picked his pokemon, even though he was also late. I've set them all up so take your pick."
It was a tough choice but Kai had already decided his starter long ago. Before he even moved into the little town he lived in now. He had decided it when he saw his first pokemon. A Torchic. It was so cute but so fierce. The moment he looked at it, he knew he wanted one for himself one day. And that day had finally arrived after waiting 2 long years.
As he pointed at the pokeball with the fire type emblem engraved in it's top red portion with the table under it having the word "Torchic" written in a bold font, the professor quickly grabbed the pokeball and handed it to him.
The feeling was surreal and he felt awestruck. Remembering that he just owned his first official Pokémon! His best buddy for life, Torchic!!

As the professor gave him some valuable but boring advice, his attention was mainly on what was in the professor's hand. But he listened to what the professor was saying nonetheless.
Then after the professor finished. He asked Kai for his phone so he could insert the chip inside. The one and only...... PokéDex Chip that all new trainers were given nowadays.
It basically automatically installed and set up the Pokedex function in the phone so that it also acts as a pokedex, as with modern technology and with the invention of the internet, a pokedex was rendered practically useless, this was the new little gadget, handed onto trainers of all the regions.
With his new pokedex and 3 pokeballs and his flaming hot chicken all with him, he embarked on his adventure to Petal Burg City where he was gonna fight his first gym.
