"WAVE" by Ateez⁺˚⋆。°✩A WEEKEND IN SOKCHO✩°。⋆˚⁺
Jisung woke up, and today was Saturday. He couldn't have been happier. Normally, he spent the entire week wishing for the weekend to arrive, the much-needed days of rest. But this week, he had been looking forward to it more than ever.
*Flashback...*
Jisung, Minho, and the other boys were now sitting in the cafeteria having breakfast as usual, but Jisung noticed how quiet the eldest was and decided to ask him what was wrong.
"Minho, are you okay?" he asked quietly, though he knew the others wouldn't hear him since they were too immersed in their conversations. "You haven't said much..."
"Guys!" Minho said, standing up from his seat with a smile. "I briefly mentioned this to Jisung when we were having breakfast, but it seems like he didn't take it too seriously, so I'll suggest it to all of you as well... Let's go to Sokcho! A weekend together."
Minho's eyes were noticeably bright, and his smile stretched from ear to ear. But his enthusiasm faded when the seven other boys didn't respond; instead, they just stared at him as if he had gone crazy.
"But... say something, right? I-I don't think it's that bad of an idea... It's just that I..."
"WE'RE GOING TO SOKCHO!" Felix exclaimed enthusiastically.
"YESSSS!" Everyone else stood up and started jumping with excitement, not caring who might see them.
"Minho..." Jisung grabbed his hand, and Minho looked at him. The younger one had tears in his eyes. "Thank you for this..."
*End of Flashback...*
That was undoubtedly the best day of his life, and this was going to be the best weekend. A trip with all his friends... It felt unreal. Who would have told the Jisung from a month ago that he would now have four more friends whom he considered brothers, even though he had known them for only a short time?
He was so excited about the idea that he had packed his bags four days ago. But the worst part wasn't packing; the worst part was lying to his father, telling him it was just a trip with Seungmin and the friends his father already knew. No way could he tell him that the one and only Lee Minho was going on that trip.
Just as he was finishing tying the laces of his white Converse, his phone rang.
"Heeelloo... whooo's this?" Jisung asked with a little smile on his face.
"Your handsome, smart, kind, and funny best friend," Minho replied.
"You have too much self-esteem, darling," he said.
"Well, I love talking to you on the phone, but I think I'd prefer to talk in person. Come outside, I'm in front of your house."
"WHAT?! IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE?! MINHO!" Jisung covered his mouth with his hand. "What are you doing there? What if my dad sees you? He'd kill you, and you know that," he said in a whisper-shout.
"Then you should come out quickly, besides, I don't think Felix and the others would be thrilled to wait for half an hour. You're the last one," Minho said, and laughter could be heard in the background.
"I'm coming down!"
Jisung looked at himself in the mirror one last time. He was wearing a black tank top and denim shorts that reached his knees. This was definitely the first time he dressed so simply, so since he thought it was too boring, he decided to put on some sunglasses that caught a bit more attention and a cap.
