NEW YEAR'S EVE

Minho and Jisung stepped into the party, their faces alight with forced cheer. The house was filled color, with strands of twinkling lights draped across the walls and holiday decorations festooning every surface. Upbeat music thumped from speakers, blending with the hum of excited conversations and the occasional burst of laughter. Students moved energetically, their faces flushed with the revelry of the season.

Jisung's smile faltered as he scanned the room. "Oh no," he whispered, his eyes narrowing on a familiar figure near the punch bowl. Seojin was there, laughing with a group of friends, her presence commanding attention. Her gaze met his for a moment before she turned back to her conversation, her lips curving into a subtle smirk.

Minho's jaw tightened as he noticed Seojin. "Great. Just what we needed," he muttered under his breath. The tension between them was palpable as they wove through the crowd, Minho's irritation growing with each step.

Felix, walking alongside them, noticed their discomfort. "You guys okay?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.

"We're fine," Jisung said quickly, though his eyes darted nervously toward Seojin. "Just... let's try to enjoy the night."

Felix nodded, though his worried glance lingered on Minho and Jisung. The festive atmosphere seemed to intensify around them, but for Minho and Jisung, the party felt suffocating. As on queue the party buzzed with the energy of young revelers, but a new buzz emerged when a group of students proposed a game of "Truth or Dare." The bottle was pulled into the center of a circle, and the excitement in the room shifted focus. The friends eagerly began to rally the hesitant participants.

"You two are joining us," one of the students announced, grabbing Minho and Jisung's hands and pulling them toward the circle. Both of them exchanged wary glances but couldn't muster a protest amidst the group's enthusiasm.

Felix gave Jisung a reassuring nudge. "Come on, it'll be fun. Maybe it'll help take your mind off things," he suggested, trying to lighten the mood.

Jisung forced a laugh. "Yeah, sure. I'll give it a shot."

Minho, on the other hand, seemed more distant, his eyes flicking nervously toward Seojin, who was now watching with a keen interest and sat just in front of him. The group settled into the circle, the bottle positioned in the middle, its neck glinting under the dim lights.

As the game commenced, it began with innocent dares and truths. Laughter filled the room as students took turns revealing secrets or performing silly tasks.

When Seojin's turn came, she was quick to make her mark. Her gaze flitted between Minho and Jisung, her lips curling into a calculated smile. "How about we spice things up a bit?"

The bottle spun and, after a few dramatic moments, it came to a halt, pointing directly at Minho and Seojin. The group's anticipation was palpable. Seojin's smile widened as she leaned forward, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Truth or dare, darling?" She said with that poisonous tone of hers.

"Dare." He answered.

"Minho," she said smoothly, "I dare you to kiss me for more than 20 seconds while I'm sitting in your lap."

Minho's face went pale. "Are you serious?" he said, his voice betraying a mixture of shock and anger. "I have a boyfriend."

Seojin's eyes narrowed, and she leaned back with a smirk. "Oh, I'm well aware. But if you're so confident in your relationship, why don't you prove it?"
