When I opened my eyes,I knew where I was.Back in Nick's apartment, lying in the comfort of his large cot, wearing a tank top and silently watching him.He was rummaging through something near the window,but I was too busy observing his beautiful face that I didn't bother to ask him.He had a look of extreme calmness on his face,unlike the Nick I know who is always ready to party and rock.It was raining outside and I heard a thunder that shocked the hell out of me.I shouted at Nick to get away from the window.But he kept standing there as if I was a ghost and he couldn't hear me.

I thought he was being funny until he did something that I never thought he would.He took the letter that he once gave me,which I treasured more than my own life,and tore it into pieces.I shouted at him but I couldn't move from the bed.He was smiling like he was playing some childhood game that he liked.With each of my shouting,my throat kept tearing apart like the letter.When he dropped the last bit of the torn letter,I heard my mom calling my name.Perplexed,I looked everywhere around,but there was no one.

"Noah, please wake up darling.Now I am really getting afraid.What exactly did you drink at the party".
Oh my God!Party.Nick.Drinks.Sophia.Everything came rushing back into my brain.I opened my eyes.I was in my room, wearing the dress that I was wearing at the party and my mom was sitting beside me with a look of genuine worry.I touched my mom's hands and tenderly caressed it just like how I used to do when I was miserable during my childhood.

"What happened to me.I don't remember anything."It was true. I had no idea about what happened to me and I wanted to know.
Suddenly,my mom's face changed and anger filled her eyes for a millisecond but it was enough for me to realise that I had done something terrible.
"Your drink fell on Sophia's pretty dress.You were swaying in your legs but you went towards her and told her something that felt like an apology to me.Then she leaned forward and told you something.I think maybe she was asking you not to worry about her.Anyway,you fainted just like that and Nick had to carry you ..."

I couldn't believe my ears.I couldn't make any sound from my mouth.Perhaps from my expression,mom understood.
"Yes,he carried you here.When you fainted,we all were flabbergasted for a while and didn't know what to do .And yours weren't normal fainting.You looked like a pale log of wood.It looked like you weren't breathing at all.We suddenly dispersed the party and Lion had to help Jenna's father out.So there was no one to carry you to bed .Then Nick volunteered.He brought you here ".

It was the first time since I fell in love with Nick that my mom talked this much about him.I wanted to know more and I knew she would tell me because of two things.One,she too had once experienced the bitter realisation of her most beloved person in life transforming into a completely different stranger.Second,she was sure that we were over and would never reunite.
"That's it,Noah.He took you here ,placed you on bed and went home with his girlfriend.Lets end this pointless discussion now.Come down and have your dinner.Doctor said you need to eat well"

I quickly changed my dress,brushed my hair and rushed downwards.I was only expecting my mom and stepdad there.But I was terribly wrong because there were five more people.My mom was lying to me with a straight face just to get me to eat something.
My eyes fell on him first as it always do.He was holding the hands of his girlfriend with much affection that I felt like killing her by banging something on her head.Then there was Jenna's dad,Jenna and Lion.I wanted to walk over to Jenna and ask for her help but unfortunately before that mom called,"Time for supper"

I went to wash my hands and face and when I returned, shit,shit,shit,there was only one chair left and that was the chair right opposite from where Nicholas was sitting.I wanted to run away from this group,from their conversation,from everything.But I knew I was trapped and there was no use for running.With each step I took towards the table,my heart kept trumpeting loudly in my ribs.Sophia's harsh words kept echoing like the rhythm of my feet.Then I reached the table and sat down ,ready to face all the trouble that awaited me.
