Diner girl meets Mr. Popular

Chapter 1

  I don't know how I ended up here but I feel very uncomfortable right now. Lying at the hallway floor, under a smirking face guy, with my books and bag thrown everywhere. And I felt a pain shot through my back when I've tried to shove him off.

"Hey angel face are you alright?" he asks. Staring through my eyes as if he enjoys our currently very uncomfortable position right now.

"Maybe I would be, if you try to get off me now". I said sarcastically.

   And there goes my beautiful day....

Standing in my bathroom at 6 o'clock in the morning without any idea how to go further than to sit immobilized in my bath tub. I don't want to start my shower because again my water heater can't function..

" Ria make it faster you're going to be late!" my mom shouted from I don't know where. Maybe she has a hidden camera here in my bathroom to monitor of what the hell I'm doing inside that's always taking me so long.

"10 minutes!" I shouted back.

After 15 min. I'm ready for school hopping down in the stairs two at a time..

" Stop that! could you please act like a lady?!" mom shouted.

" Yeah, Good morning to you too mom. What's with all the shouting for this very bright morning?" I said after kissing her blushing cheeks.

" Sorry Hon, it's just the bad day of the month." she said while giving me my  most favorite breakfast in the world, (scrambled eggs sandwich with mayo and ketchup) served with ice cold orange juice. Most of the people loves hot coffee in the morning or anything that's hot for their breakfast but that doesn't work for me.

" Ummm..thanks mom." I said as I gulp down my orange juice bottoms up. And I make my way to the door, snoopy doo my cutest dog in the planet wiggled his tail happily as he sees that I'm about to give him his favorite pat in the belly.

"Bye mom!" I yelled.

"Take care Hon, love you." she said while blowing me a kiss.

"Me too."

"hello there Cooper." Cooper is my car a mini cooper that my uncle sold to me for a very cheap price. It's a bit old and rusty but I love it all the same.

It's a sunny day for a Monday morning. And the weather matches my outfit today yellow T-shirt with a drawing of I can't figure if it's a sun or a flower but anyways with my black jeans and black keds shoes.

As I drive to school I remembered my best friend Yelena, because we made a bet of who is going to win at the American idol and apparently I lose, so I have to pay for her lunch today. So much for gambling.

I am now at the grounds of the school parking lot and as I nudge the door with my hip I've heard my best friend yelling and waving from the other side of the parking lot.

And I can already see what's coming..

So much for gambling with your best friend and she can't wait to tease me about it.

"Hi there Rie!aaaaahhhh!!!!I can't believe it she won, and I have my free lunch today!" she said too enthusiastically.

"Hi yourself. Yeah! I know, I know." putting my hands up dramatically.

"Oh! and I remember here's you're book.Thanks." pulling out my tattered, and over abused copy of Wuthering heights.

"Welcome. Come on we'll be late." and we took off running as we heard the first bell.

We were making our way to our first class when suddenly I've heard a shout

of a guy saying "Look out!!" And when I look back a stupid guy with a skateboard who is about to stumble right on my body who is obviously doesn't know how to use it.

That's why here in the cold and hard marble floors of the hallway is where I am right now with a very heavy guy on top of me smirking.

And when I tried to shove him off of me I felt a pain shot through my back. I winced in pain.

"Are you alright angel face?" he asks.

"Maybe I would be if you get off of me now". I said sarcastically.

And thank God he finally figured out that he needs to get up and help me back on my feet.

When I was on my feet again massaging my back where I felt the pain. He is still staring at me like an idiot.Not making any indication that he is sorry and feeling shame for what he did. He just stood there gawking at me. So, I just rolled my eyes at him and says "That's a nice trick you pulled there except that you don't have any dialogue to go with it. Loser!"

Yelena my best friend who I thought left me during the incident was standing shock at the side motionlessly. Too shock to even utter a word. So, I just drag her to our room, leaving the stupid guy behind us still no movements from him. The hallway was deserted already as we make our way to the classroom.

"Yhie, Are you alright?" my best friend is still not saying anything as we sat at our place. Still no answer. And when I pull her hair that's when she blinks at me.

"Are you okay?" I asks again.

"Yikes!!Rie, he is so freaking gorgeous!" she exclaimed.

"Who?" I ask as I tried to look around us of who is she talking about.

"Cade" she answered.

"Cade who?" I ask confusedly.

"The one who bumped you in the hallway". She said while grinning at me.

Oh God! what did I do to deserve a very uncaring bestfriend just because of a guy.

"Why don't you do your job as my best friend and asks how am I because my back is aching like a bitch." I said groaning.

"Oh! I'm so sorry. Are you hurt?" she asks concerned now evident on her face.Thanks God maybe she still has hope after all.

"Yeah I'm fine it's just a little bit sore I think." I said wincing again as I tried to reach the part where it aches the most.

And finally, our prof who is always late entered the room at last.

And we both face the front and concentrate with the lesson even though my back is bothering me. Maybe I'll just drop by the clinic later before leaving the school to go to the diner. Stupid guy this is all his fault.
