The day peaceful, calming. Kenshin was dreaming about his past, mainly his true lover after Tomoe.

♫ "Togire, togire ni ukandekuru.....Yasashii omoide...Ano hi miteta yume no kakera.... Ima mo kono mune ni...."♫

A girl sang a lullaby while he listens.

The girl began removing the upper half of his yukata, inspecting the skin beneath. He had a small stab wound. Aside from the few scrapes on his body this was the only part you were worried about. The girl didn't want it getting infected.

He wasn't bleeding luckily, the wound had already clotted over, leaving you to clean off the excess dried blood. Had it been larger he would have needed stitches. Shedding her bag, she sort through its contents taking out salves, bandages and a clean cloth.

Taking the cloth she dip it into the river and ring it out, getting to work cleaning Kenshin's wounds. He flinched clutching onto the fabric of her yukata, trying to keep still.

Once done she grabbed the salve and applied it, trying not to add to his pain. It stung a bit but he allowed her to continue. Lastly she wrap his torso in clean bandages. After patching up his minor scrapes you fix his yukata, and put away your supplies. Kenshin raised his hand placing it against his chest to feel the bandages. He could feel the pain in his chest but not the limb touching it. It was gently removed by her, not wanting him to agitate the wound. The girl sign against his cheek with her free hand.

He needed to let his body rest and turn off his mind for a while. She retract her hand from his face, but Kenshin quickly pressed his hand against hers, keeping her palm against his skin. A small smile spread across her lips. She softly caress her thumb over the flesh, watching as his eyes gradually drooped. She stayed this way until he fell asleep. One hand holding one of his prosthetics and the other cradling his cheek.

He knew she was worried about him by how her soul wavered. It made him want to apologize. Pain would take some getting used to, but her gentle touch was enough to comfort him.

{~Present~}

Kenshin's memory or a dream of his memory broke by some chatters of kids.

"Those clouds look so soft, don't they? Like you could just jump down and you'd land in a big, soft, cottony heap?" Katara lying on her stomach, popped up on her elbows, staring dreamingly over the rim of Appa's saddle, and Momo sleeping on the luggage.

Sokka turns to Katara; mockingly with a smile. " Maybe you should give it a try."

Katara glares at Sokka with annoyance; sarcastically as she looks away from him. " You're hilarious."

"I'll try it!", Aang yells, hopping up into a cloud, he quickly comes back up. "Turns out clouds are made of water", Aang exclaims as he uses the air currents to dry himself off.

He breaths in deeply and slams his balled, right fist against his stretched left hand, creating an expanding air ball around him in the process, drying himself off. As Aang leans back to rest on both his hands, he contently looks at Momo, whose fur got all fluffed by Aang's airbending.

Sokka is still looking at Aang unimpressed. Katara glances at her brother, but her attention is drawn to something over his shoulder. "Hey, what is that?"

Sokka looks over his right shoulder in the direction Katara is looking as well. Katara gets up and walks to the front of Appa's saddle.  A large, dark patch of burned land standing out among the lush green of the forest.
