The Northern Water Tribe is getting blown to smithereens. It is horrible.
"I can't believe I lost him". Katara continues to put the blame on herself despite the many times Kenshin was in danger because of her.
"You guys did everything you could and now we must doing everything we can do get him back. Zuko couldn't have gotten far, we'll find him." Sokka reassures.
"We're going to save Kenshin. He'll be fine." Aang help her get up.
"Okay."
"Yip, yip." Aang hit the reins. Appa takes off, heading upward to a location above the oasis, a vast frozen tundra where a blizzard is raging.
{~With Kenshin & Zuko~}
Kenshin and Zuko walk through the blizzard. It's freezing and Kenshin should've brought more warm robes besides the scarf. He's quite poor. His hands are tied in front . Zuko holds the other end of the rope as he escorts him through the horrible climate.
"Shelter. " He chattered.
Kenshin spots a cave off in the distance.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Yue arrive to where the ice broke earlier. In the cave, Zuko is keeping warm with Breath of Fire while Kenshin, now tied up, blowing some hot air to keep warm.
"That's the one good thing about fire..." Kenshin started a conversation.
Zuko glance at him. "What?"
"Giving warmth. Fire provide warmth on a harsh weather like this."
"Yeah... I guess that's that. I didn't think there's anything good about fire until you said it."
"I bet this is why (Y/n) cares about you. That you have a kind heart." Kenshin stated.
"You believe so?" he asked.
Kenshin just shrugs. Zuko's eyes glisten a little before getting all rude. "Don't try and talk your way out of this Battosai."
"I just want to understand why you have to do this when you drag (Y/n) in this mess."
"She was banished because she's different..."Zuko moves away.
Then silence filled the room.
"That scar on your face.....you were abused, were they not?" Kenshin observes his behavior.
"What makes you say that?"
"The person who would do cruel things to a child is not the way they should punish." Kenshin pushed on.
Kenshin stays silent and looks away from him, completely not expecting what he said. "My father... he was the one that caused this scar.... is my father..."
"Ozai..." Kenshin stated.
Zuko nodded.
"That's horrible..."
Zuko scoff. " Well I don't need a Battosai to pity me. I finally have you, but I can't get you home because of this blizzard. There's always something. Not that you would understand."
"I think I do-"
"No you don't . You're like my sister, Azula. Everything always came easy to her. She's a firebending prodigy, and everyone adores her. My father says she was born lucky. He says I was lucky to be born. I don't need luck, though. I don't want it. I've always had to struggle and fight and that's made me strong. It's made me who I am."
"You're not the only one who thinks that way...(Y/n)-"
"Stop talking about (Y/n)." Zuko cuts him off. "I don't know what you see in her. She was born with nothing."
