A hundred years ago....
Rain drizzled down from the gray clouds above. The girl sat safely under a shrine while Kenshin stood in the rain, his head tilted up towards the sky. Whatever was falling from the sky felt cold, but pleasant at the same time.
"The rain. I think he's listening to the rain." Tomoe said.
"Do you have a feeling, Tomoe?" the other girl asked.
"I do...even though....I don't know if I can forgive him for killing my husband..." Tomoe looks down sorrowfully.
Standing up the girl walked over to Kenshin who still hadn't moved an inch. Lifting a hand she lightly push his damp bangs from his face, letting her knuckles brush down his cheek. His eyes parted from the sky as he set his hollow gaze on her. Before her hand could retreat he took it in his own, placing it on his cheek, where he wanted it to stay. It was warm compared to whatever was falling from above.

"Would you sit down?"
Kenshin was having another dream again but was interrupted by Sokka being annoyed by Aang who is pacing around on Appa's saddle, breathing heavily.
"If we hit a bump, you'll go flying off. What's bugging you anyway?"
Aang worriedly explains. " It's what Avatar Roku said. I'm supposed to master all four elements before that comet arrives. Kenshin is the second Avatar so he's gotta be prepared too."
Sokka rolled his eyes in a sarcastic, amused tone while facing Aang. "Well, let's see. You and Kenshin pretty much mastered airbending and that only took you a hundred and twelve years. I'm sure you can master three more elements by next summer."
Sokka "reassures", this earns him a punch from Katara.
"I haven't even started waterbending and we're still weeks away from the North Pole! What am I gonna do?", Aang exclaims.
Kenshin pat his shoulder. "Easy Aang, it's going to be okay."
"If you want, I can try and teach you some of the stuff I know." Katara offers.
"You'd do that?" Aang sits down in front of her, joyfully.
Katara nods and looks over the side of Appa's saddle. " We'll need to find a good source of water first."
Sokka grinning; sarcastically. "Maybe we can find a puddle for you to splash in."
"Over there!" Kenshin point out a large waterfall.
They all stand in front of a large waterfall and river while Sokka frowns in defeat. "Nice puddle..."
Appa flies down into the river and creates a huge splash that soaks and almost knocks Momo of the rock he is standing on, turns over, and floats on his back.
"Yeah! Don't start without me, boy!" Aang takes off his shirt and begins to run toward the water.
"Remember the reason we are here", Katara sternly somewhat blankly reminds as she crosses her arms.
"Oh, right. Time to practice waterbending." Aang stops short and puts his clothes back on.
"Great. So what am I supposed to do?" Sarcastically, Sokka asked.
"You could clean the gunk out of Appa's toes." Aang suggest. He hands Sokka a branch with a bushel of leaves at the end.
Sokka pouts and crosses his arms. "So, while you guys are playing in the water, I'm supposed to be hard at work picking mud out of a giant bison's feet?"
