Amber POV

"Sorcery? Unacceptable!" I stopped walking in front of my father's office when I heard him raising his voice. "I sent you to the academy to study everything about the country, and the news came up to me that you're just studying some sorcery?!" he shouted, and I flinched. "It's not some sorcery; it's the way to lift Amber's curse,"  I heard Gwydion say calmly, then I slowly opened the door a little to peek inside the office. 

I saw Father and Gwydion inside, and Father's instense aura is emanating from the whole room. I never knew that I got to witness this scene. It's true that Calixtus sent Gwydion to the academy to study about the country, but instead he focused on enhancing his magic ability.

"That child is not your responsibility!" Yikes! Calixtus is really mad. "Don't waste your time on her! That's already her fate! Focus on your real duty!" he shouted again, and I'm kind of getting mad here.

"She's my sister!" Gwydion shouted, but in a mild way. "The fact that she was your child too, you intend to ignore her! You think Mother would like your behavior towards Amber?" I saw Father flinched, but then his expression changed into anger. "Don't include your mother on this." Eek! The Calixtus stare is deadly serious.

"Why not? Is it because Amber's the reason on Mother's death?"

Trouble! You're going too far, Gwydion!

"Enough!" Father stood firm. "I will not allow such frivolous talk!", I closed the door and turned around to sigh. Knowing that Calixtus was my own creation and my own father made me feel empathic for him because Calixtus is very devoted to his own wife. He adores her so much that it broke his heart when she died giving birth to Amber. That's why Calixtus is ignoring Amber. He thinks about her as a curse. 
 
"I will give a notice to the headmaster of the academy to make you get back to your study and forbid you to learn magic!" I flinched as I heard that.
 
"But father--!"
 
"Get out of my office! We're done talking."
 
Ah! Wait! Let me run for a bit! 
I ran away from the door to avoid getting caught. I don't want to see Calixtus yet! And Gwydion needs to calm down first. 

"Huh? What's happening?" I said as I realized that I'm still running but that I'm no longer reaching the exit door. "Lil sis!" I was startled when Gwydion showed up nowhere, then hugged, "How's my cute little sister?" He's starting to coddle and squish me. He's really happy to see me, and he's releasing his stress on me. Sigh.

"Ah! Right! How about we go to a beautiful place?" he said. "Where to?" I asked. "Hehe! I will keep it a secret!" he said playfully while I furrowed. "Oh my! My sister is pouting; I can't resist her cuteness! I guess I will tell her now."

This guy. He's a little bit disappointing when it comes to adoring his sister. But it can't be helped; Amber loves her brother so much that she only wants to spend her time on Gwydion. So I would love to hog Gwydion's attention too.
 
"Let's go see the sea!" he said while he genuinely smiled at me, and I suddenly got excited. "Really?!" I felt like my eyes were sparkling with excitement. "Yes! Let's go!"  he said, and I nodded at him.

*Sea water waves*

"Wah! What a sight!" I was amazed when I saw the sea in front of me. I never thought the sea was just behind the palace. I made this world, but why the heck did I forget about this beautiful sea?!
 
"I want to swim!" I was excited, but as I began to run, I wasn't moving towards the water again! "Don't rush yourself, Amber." It was Gwydion! He's using his magic on me; that's why I couldn't move a while ago back there. "I wanna go swim!" I said while I still tried to run. 
 
"Hahaha! You can't just jump there; you can't even swim, so you have to be careful,"  he said, and I'm pissed off. "Hmph! I want to go to the sea!" I said.
