“Hey Chris, I didn't think you'd be here.”

Minjun quietly shut the door behind her. She never thought of the possibility of her flatmate being here, it had turned into a routine for him to stay away, only to return late into the night. It has been going on for a month after he knew about the brunette's work and she was now used to him not being around.

“Yeah, I needed to show Han a couple things,” Chan scratched his head, grinning awkwardly at the brown haired, and from behind him, Jisung peeked, waving blissfully at Minjun.

“Oh, well, that's great.”

The blue haired noticed how minjun lowered her head and avoided any eye contact with him and then used her hand to block her face away from his view. He watched silently as she trudge towards her room, not saying another word.

“What's wrong with the both of you?” The puzzled Jisung quiered. “Did you fight or something?”

“That doesn't concern you, Han.”

“Minho said you might had done the bang bang and now feeling awkward.”

“What?” Chris quickly looked away from the laptop, agape as he glared at Jisung. The younger grinned innocently, raising his hand in a mock surrender. “Minho is insane. Jun and I are just really busy for each other right now.”

“Hmm...” Jisung hummed lowly. “Sounds like you're dating-”

“We're not,” Chan glared at him.

Jisung leaned back. “Did you hit her?” he prodded. “She had this bruise on her forehead and. . .”

“I would never hit her,” The blue haired sighed, pushing the laptop aside. “Just contuine this, I'll be back soon.”

“Huh? But...” Jisung couldn't get a word out, only watching as the older left, trudging towards the path Minjun had took. He groaned, looking at the spreadsheet Chan had barely explained to him. “Great!”

“Minjun?” Chan knocked softly on her door, and seconds later, the brunette's muffled plea for him to hold on resonated. And so he did, fiddling with his beanie the longer she took. “Hey-” the blue haired smiled when he saw a little fraction of her door creak open.

“Hey,” Minjun peeped, refusing to step out.

“Uh... I just wanted to-” All of a sudden, Chris felt a bit hesitant to ask what he wanted to. He knew Minjun, and whenever she acted timid was just a deflection from an ongoing problem. And this confirmed what just had voiced earlier. “...just wanted to check up on you, you know?”

“Aww, that's so sweet of you Chris,” Minjun beamed. “I'm fine.”

“No, you're not,” Chan tsk'd. “Sung said you have a bruise.”

Minjun scoffed, tittering lowly. “No I don't.”

“Minjun, let me see your face.”

“It's really nothing, just a minor scratch,” The brunette pursed her lips. “I got into a fight.”

Chan irked his brow, totally skeptical about her answer. It was a habit he had picked up, to analyze whatever she said cause she was used to covering things up. “Are you lying to me?”

“Yes,” Minjun bowed lowly. “I'm sorry. My boss did it cause it makes him happy.”

That was not what he expected, a truthful andwer without hard probing. “If he makes feel uncomfortable you should quit. I know Minho knows a lot of people who would hire you.”

“I can't quit, he'll kill my sister.”
