[Third person pov]
“We're having a sleepover with Hajoon!”
Minjun watched as her little sister jumped on the sofa, a tired Hajoon chasing her around the room. She averted her gaze to the two adults behind the door, feigning a weak smile. The brunette had overheard their conversation and wasn't too happy about it.
“Come play with us, Junnie!” Yuna pulled the taller's hands, still very much ecstatic.
“Just play without me,” Minjun looked at Hajoon, urging her sister to join him.
And when Yuna ran happily into Hajoon's arms, Minjun sighed, looking out the window, the playful sounds of giggles and grunts not making it to her ears.
“What's wrong?” Minjun heard his voice, tugging her back into reality.
“Where's Yuna?”
“We're playing hide and seek, I'm just giving her enough time to hide,” Hajoon grinned.
“You know right?” The brunette huffed. It was obvious Hajoon knew that they weren't here for a sleepover, it was just what his parents told Minjun and her sister so they wouldn't be worried, at least for the time being.
“I don't know what we're talking about,” Hajoon looked away, trudging to the door. “I should probably go look for Yuna...”
“I'm not a kid, I understand these things,” Minjun went after him, grabbing his shirt.
“You're thirteen.”
“Fourteen, I turned fourteen last week,” she huffed. “Are you okay with Yuna and I staying here with you?”
“Of course, I like both of you, yeah?” Hajoon patted her hair. “I really should go look for Yu-”
“Joonie, why aren't you seeking me?” Yuna's voice boomed through the halls, making it to the black haired.
“I am, you're just too good!” Minjun watched him run out of the room. She was happy her sister was oblivious to their parents absence. They just have to make her believe that they were only staying her for a while, if Yuna found out that the Mins had adopted both of them, she'd start asking for her parents.
It would be hard to tell her they're dead.
