Third person
povQuite a long cumbersome week had drifted away ever so slowly.
Chris was barely around, always spending his time with his friends and whenever he was at the apartment, he would barely hold any conversation with the brunette. Not that she wanted that, rather it was what she found fitting. More conversations with him would high her chances of going back to that wretched dorm with that cruel mistress roaming the halls with her disgusting attitude. It was bad enough her sister was still there and she was ever so lucky her boss was deeply infatuated with her.
Trusting her to be outside, living life like a normal young adult would. Making sure her expensive were paid for. Even did a background check on Chris, making sure it was safe enough for her to stay. He didn't want her to stay alone and rather with someone who would make sure she was safe.
The brunette was still being watched, to make sure she doesn't slip up.
But she did. Catching feeling for Chris was never part of the plan and she was definitely not prepared for that. Perhaps it was just her mind playing tricks on her. Maybe it was the fact he was the first normal male she had contact with after years of always being around goons, crackheads and ill doers.
He was sugar, spice and everything nice, everything that contradicted the people she had been stuck with for eons. From how silvery his tone was to his mild scent that didn't reek of booze, nasty sweat and a hint of blood. Yeah, maybe it was because he was something new and her curiosity led her to believe it was something beyond lust.
For he didn't view her as yet another object to simply submit to him, she had misjudged him in her hour of despair. It felt nice, though, to finally let some burden roll off her back, the little she let out made breathing easier.
And Chris was there to listen despite her salty tone towards him, he was attentive enough to still ask about her scars and she had told him that it was the result of her so called fans getting a little aggressive with her.
Which wasn't a total lie. She just couldn't tell him that her boss likes to create arts on her body, that it made him feel more and more in charge. It was best if she lied, cause he wasn't supposed to know all that, if he wish to go on living. It was best if he stayed in the dark. Forever.
He was too genuine for that, even his apologizes for making out with her that night when he was drunk. That was why he was acting strange the next day and fretted if it was the reason she ran away– that too was genuine. But it wasn't him, it was her boss who wanted to spend a little more with his Junnie cause he missed her so much.
It was all him, the cause of her entire misery. Yet he acts all innocent and giddy like a child when she was with him. He had no idea who how much resent she had for him. How she long to drive a blade through his heart.
But she couldn't. She felt weak and useless, like a push over, his little barbie doll. He had her wrapped around his bloody fingers, even down to what she wears. Fluffy cute outfits cause he deemed nothing more fitting for his little doll.
Even her bright brown shade of hair was all his doings, her wearing a bow, and all things cutesy. She cursed the day she and her sister were caught and thrown into such a life, for this is what it has subjected her life to.
His cute little doll.
