Set after the"Sleepless" chapter.
~~
Percy had been getting some sleep finally, though the time he went without had caught up to him. Even with his healing abilities he had gone too long without proper rest. Was he going to announce that his head was pounding, exhausted and hosting a fever? No.
So here he was, faking his way through the day so he could just go back to bed. He had made it through most of the morning and it was almost lunch time. Instead of going to the main hall to eat with the others he made his way back up to the lounge/private kitchen. The noise from the dining hall would only increase the chances of his throbbing headache killing him.
As he entered the room he ran straight into the doorframe.
Glancing around the room to make sure no one was here he shook his head gently to clear his tired eyes. The coast was clear.
He lazily grabbed random things from the fridge before sitting at the table to eat. Maybe he had eaten something, maybe not, but soon, found that food was cold and eased his throbbing head.
"There you are. I couldn't find you in the dining hall for lunch. Why are you up here?" Luke cheerfully exclaimed, coming to grab some food Percy had brought out. "What are you doing?"
"What?"
Luke stared at him questionably, "You are holding an orange to your head."
Percy pulled his hand away from his head and found an orange in his hand. "Oh, weird."
Luke just starred before turning his attention back to his food and rambling about his morning with some of the soldiers in training.
Percy was going to lose his mind if Luke didn't shut up soon. His voice was only making his head hurt more and he was starting to get chilly again.
The sound of Percy's chair sliding against the floor made Luke pause. "I'm heading back to study some more. Chaos is making me learn every planets history. See you."
"Um, okay. Did you eat anything?"
"Wha- Oh, yeah." Then he was gone through the door.
~~
Chaos had been waiting for Percy to arrive for their training session but he was late. Which was very unusual. Even if they had only been doing this for a few weeks. So, instead of waiting he went to find him. He was not expecting to end up back in his office. looking over planet histories.
When he entered the room, Percy was leaned over a stack of papers, looking over the history of a planet in the Valitros galaxy.
"What are you doing up here?" Chaos quizzed playfully.
Percy didn't look at him, only responding with a simple, "mmm?"
"I was waiting for our combat training session but we can focus on some of your other new powers today since we are already here." The creator stated while walking over to the desk.
"Let's start with teleporting."
Percy grimaced inside as he used the desk to push himself up. 'Of course he would choose to work on teleporting. Literally one of the hardest things to do....'
Chaos frowned slightly as he noticed the boys pale face as he stood. He seemed to be off balanced a little so he reached his hand out to steady him. As soon as he touched his shoulder he could feel heat radiating off him.
"Percy? What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
Chaos studied his face before putting his hand against the other's forehead.
"What ar-"
"Percy how long have you had this fever?" Chaos felt the boy lean into his touch.
"I think I woke up with it..."
"It's three in the afternoon."
"Ugh, it's only 3?" Voice gruff and frustrated.
Chao was concerned. Percy shouldn't be sick. Not with his ability to heal; yet, he did go a little over a week with barely any sleep at all. 'I guess that would do it.'
"Why haven't you taken some ambrosia? That would have helped."
"I'm fine."
Chaos stared at him. He didn't know how to handle this... "I think you should go to bed Percy. You need to rest."
Percy sighed but didn't want to take up any more of Chaos' time so he nodded and headed to his room. Chaos watched him run into the doorway before leaving the office. He was currently fighting an inward battle of instincts to run after Percy to take care of him. But they were still getting to know each other.
'Hey Luke?'
~
Percy entered his room after a long trek down the stairs and hall only to find Luke standing there looking frustrated.
'I hope Chaos didn't tell him.'
"Why didn't you say you were sick?"
'Well there went that hope.'
Percy rubbed his head as pain pulsed in his temple. "Your voice is making my head hurt."
Luke gave him a look before handing him some ambrosia and water.
"If you ever get sick again you better tell me or Chaos. With you being his son plus receiving his blessing this shouldn't even be possible so don't take this lightly."
Percy hadn't put much thought into it but Luke made a point. "I will. Please leave." Throwing himself face down onto his bed.
Luke left the room, hoping that as time went by Percy's time here got better and he would be willing to talk to him more.
