To say Annabeth was having a rough day was an understatement. The morning had started out rough with a nauseating headache that kept her over the toilet for 20 minutes, which led to her not wanting to eat breakfast. She went through a whole training lesson with a group of soldiers in the army feeling dizzy. Then at lunch she nibbled on some fruit before pushing herself through the next hour of strategy training for the new recruits. And now it was only three in the afternoon and she wanted to collapse from exhaustion.

Luckily, she didn't have anywhere else to be for the rest of the day. She was sprawled on the sofa in their private lounge as Percy and Luke called it. Enjoying the peace and quiet, that is, until Luke ruined it.

"Hey Annabeth!"

"Go away."

Luke frowned. "Geez is it that time of the month already?"

Annabeth sent him her fiercest glare. He paled. "Yeah, sorry, I'll leave!" Turning back to the door and disappearing.

Annabeth sighed in relief when he was gone. That is until what he said actually processed through her mind. 'Wait... what day is it?'

She got up and went to her and Percy's room to check his calendar on the desk. As she scanned it over her eyes widened. 'No way...'

Without a second thought she ran to the bathroom, not believing the information and thoughts racing through her mind. She was practically bouncing as she paced the floor. Waiting. Minutes passed as she finally worked up the courage to approach the bathroom counter.

Sitting there was the possibility to change their lives forever. As she took in the evidence laying there she was shocked. Emotions flooded her all at once. Fear, excitement, joy, nervousness. A laugh escaped her lips as she smiled fully. She had to tell Percy.

'Percy, come here!' She mind-messaged.

'Annabeth? I'm in a meeting, what's wrong?'

She rolled her eyes, stupid meetings. 'Can you come to our room?'

Not a second had passed before she heard him on the other side of the door. "Annabeth what's wrong?! Where are you?"

"In here!" She answered.

Percy almost ripped the door off its hinges opening it. "What is it? Are you okay?"

Annabeth laughed as hid her evidence behind her. "I'm fine, calm down."

Her husband relaxed as she approached him. "Geez Annabeth, you gave me a heart attack."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to."

"What's got you smiling like that? Are you feeling okay? I know you have been really tired lately. Is there something I can do to help?"

She only grinned more as she tried to think of what to say. "I actually do think I need your help with something. See, in 9 months I'm going to be extra busy. My schedule is going to be tight, sleep will probably be rough with an extra mouth to feed. And don't even get me started on all the training sessions I'm going to have to postpone."

Percy just stared at her. "What are you talking about? What's happening in 9 months?"

She was about to sass him when he went rigid. "Annabeth please tell me your not joking with me right now."

She only giggled as she blushed and pulled out the stick from behind her back. Percy stared at it before looking into her eyes. Warmth and joy sparked between them as Annabeth laughed through her smiles.

"Really!? You-your pregnant!?"

She didn't have anymore words so she just nodded. Percy let out a howl of excitement before grabbing her off the ground and twirling around laughing. She shreked in joy as he spun her around.

"We are going to be parents!" Percy exclaimed.

Annabeth kept laughing as he finally set her down. Percy gently cupped her face between his hands and kissed her. "I love you. I love you. I love you." Kissing her again before lowering himself down to her abdomen. "And I love you little one. I can't wait to be your dad."

Annabeth's eyes filled with happy tears at the affection, running her hands through Percy's messy black hair. "He or she will have the most amazing father."

Percy rose and kissed her deeply again. His smile almost blinding.
