He didn't try and think of a reason for what was happening. There was no time. He accepted each and every word even if it was against his whole being. But as each accusation was spoken aloud, he felt it stab his heart. Every lie spoken by Zeus, Hera, and Ares stung. But he held his ground. That is, until his father was commanded to disown him.

Others were defending the boy, trying to diffuse the situation, pointing out reasons this was absurd; but, it didn't matter.

As Zeus spoke the final accusation, something about the boy seeking to become the most powerful demigod and wanting to take over Olympus, he turned to Poseidon. "Disown the demigod for his crimes."

The boy looked to the god of the sea, expecting retaliation, only to find an emotionless mask.

Poseidon's eyes filled with an emotion most never received from the god of the sea. Disdain. His eyes met with the boys. The later taking a step back in uncertainty. Tears streamed down his son's face. Sea green eyes dark with heartbreak, concern, and apprehension.

"Father... Please, I- " His voice cracking, just like his soul.

"Silence demigod!" Zeus bellowed. Others looked at Poseidon with concern and disbelief.

The sea god looked almost conflicted for a moment before he began to speak. "I Poseidon, god of the sea, hereby disown my son.... Percy Jackson."

A crash was heard in the distance, symbolizing the decree, and with it, the throne room instantly filled with agonized screams from the boy as his powers were ripped from his being. Nothing could have prepared the other gods for the torture the boy was now going through. The room erupted into chaos.

Apollo, Hermes and Hades instantly jumped from their thrones in anger and attacked Zeus and Poseidon.

The room seemed to spin to the boy kneeling on the ground gasping for breath.

His hearing was going in and out. His vision blurry.

"Percy!!" He faintly heard his name being yelled. He spit a bit of blood on the ground as he coughed.

"Percy! Run!"

He looked to his right as his vision focused. Artemis was dressed in battle armor and was blocking a strike from Ares who was trying to kill the boy.

"Run Percy!" Artemis yelled again.

The boy gathered his strength and ran. Not looking back.

"S-so you are willing.... to take me in as your... your son?... To keep me from dying?...." He coughed up blood. He speech slurring slightly as his soul began to unravel. "You don't even know me?.... I don't know who you are...h-how-I d-don't... trust you."

Fear filled the son of Poseidon's eyes as the pain only increased more. Chaos' eyes, dark as night and filled with glittering stars, locked with the boys. Concern and honesty shining through.

"Yes. I may not know you well young hero but I have someone in my army who has told me stories of your victories. I would be honored to have you as my son if you would allow me to. We can get to know each other later but right now you need to decide."

Percy feared trusting him. Feared of being betrayed again. Yet, didn't want to die, so all he could do was nod weakly as he tried to hold in another scream from the pain coursing his veins.
