Do you dare? Part 14: Carnival time!

🦐: HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BESTIES!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 basing this type of carnival on 'murican county fairs cause those seem to be more widely known things, but with a bit of a twist. Pardon if I'm not remembering certain aspects correctly or weird stuff is added, it's just what I've experienced as a kid at one so 🤷‍♀️

"Stay close y/n. It's really crowded..." Senpai took their hand in his firmly. Despite him acting like he was protecting them, y/n knew if he wandered off that they'd have to go find him cause he's the newbie.

About to make another snarky comment, y/n noticed Senpai looking out at the fairgrounds with a twist of excitement and nervousness. Looks like it would be way too easy for someone like him to get lost in and swept away by the crowds. If he were caught by a group of his fan girls, it would be so joever.

Sighing, y/n squeezes Senpai's hand reassuringly. "Mhm, we'll be fine. If you get lost just scream and I'll probably find you."

"Aww y/n so sweet, if you keep that up, you'll have even me convinced that we're just another couple at the fair" Senpai joked. Obviously they'd seem like one since he asked y/n on this date, but it seemed like y/n either didn't know it was a date or didn't care. Either way it was very y/n to be like that and go with the flow.

Y/n rolled their eyes "Wow Senpai, you're making it sound like there's a couples battle royale here which by the way, I'd win even without your help."

"Eh?" Senpai was intrigued. "Nah, I'd win."

Nearly choking on air, y/n wheezed. "Okay Mr. Gojo wannabe!"

"Y/n... I'm not trying to be anyone... except maybe your husband." He gave you a wink which made you cringe.

"Wow that was so cringe, I need to get on a ride to shake this horrible feeling out of me, let's go to that one." Y/n pointed at some strange spinning ride and before Senpai could protest, they dragged him into the line. "Come on Senpai! We need to ride the rides first and see the attractions before we play games in case we win anything! It would be a pain to carry around the prizes the whole day now, wouldn't it?"

Unable to argue with the logic of y/n, Senpai nodded. "Alright y/n you have fin on this, I'll take photos of you on it."

"Oh hell no, you're coming with me, you're not holding anything anyways. Don't tell me you're chicken?" Y/n scoffed. "Cause if you are, you can watch the chicken race on the other side of the fair grounds, I can't promise I'll pick you up from there though cause that whole animal section kinda stinks literally."

"Ahaha just kidding! Of course I can't let you on that thing alone y/n what do you take me for?" Desperate for redeeming himself, Senpai turned on his charm. "Besides if I were to leave you alone, you'd probably get snatched up by some big bad-"

"Next up!" The ride attender announced as the line began to move and y/n and Senpai approached the rude to get on, seems like they made it just in time to get on without waiting too long.

Taking their seats next to each other, Senpai and y/n were sat upon some dangly metal chairs and waited for a moment before they were spun around like they'd just gotten into a washing machine. Slinking through the air, it made them feel so light and free, or at least y/n, Senpai couldn't stop looking down at the distance his feet were from the ground until he caught sight of y/n again. Something about the way their hair was flowing and they looked so carefree gave him a bit more comfort, if he were to be off the ground at least y/n was there off the ground too, not that they were the most grounded human being ever.

The ride came to an end before they knew it and all the passengers were unfastened from their seats, writhed excitedly hopping or wobbling away.

"Wow Senpai, your hair is a mess!" Y/n commented as the spinning had completely jostled him.
