Later that night, Alex realized she had forgotten about finding a place to stay for the night. Lucy was kind enough to let her and Kyla stay at her apartment with her. Mirajane said that she would look into getting a dorm for them at Fairy Hills.

The three girls were walking to Lucy's apartment. Lucy was walking on the riverbank, while Kyla was walking next to Alex in her wolf form. Alex was lost in her thoughts about the day when she bumped into someone, causing her to fall. When she looked up, she saw Gray.

"Sorry," Alex said, looking up at Gray. He just continued to walk down the street without stopping. Alex looked at Lucy to see if she knew what was going on. Lucy simply shook her head. It then hit Alex that today was the 15-year anniversary of her aunt's death. She thought to herself, 'Was it really 15 years ago today?' Lucy walked up to Alex and tried to talk to her, but it didn't seem to get through to her. Kyla then ran off to find Gray. When she found him, she shifted into her human self.

"Gray?" Kyla asked. Gray continued to walk down the street, and Kyla had to hurry to catch up to him. "GRAY! Stop please." Gray looked up to Kyla.

"Gray...I-I...Alex...she needs a friend who knows what she's going through. I can't help her because I never met Ur. You have. You know what it's like, don't you? To never be able to talk to anyone about what you feel because they don't understand. Well, Alex does. She needs you. She needs a shoulder to lean on. Will you help her?" Kyla asked. Gray nodded and motioned for her to lead the way. Kyla shifted into her wolf form and ran back to where she left Alex and Lucy. Lucy was still trying to talk to Alex and figure out what was wrong.

"Lucy, stop, please," Gray said, startling Lucy.

"G-Gray?" Lucy Stuttered.

"I got it, Lucy. You go ahead and head home. I'll walk her to your apartment when we're done," Gray said. Kyla looked at him, trying to tell him she was staying with Alex. "You too, Kyla. We need to be alone, please." Kyla glared at Gray, but he simply pleaded with his eyes.

"Come on, Kyla. I think it's for the better if they talk about this alone," Lucy said. Kyla followed Lucy home and waited for Alex to come. Gray sat beside Alex on the riverbank.

"Alex, are you okay?" Gray said, looking at her.

"I got so caught up in today that I forgot that today was Ur's death anniversary. So, no, Gray, I'm not okay," Alex was crying. Gray reached over, pulled her into his arms, and held her while she continued to cry.

"Kyla came and got me when she saw you shocked. She was right, you know," Gray said.

"How?" Alex asked.

"She told me that you needed a shoulder to lean on. Only I can understand in full what you're going through. I know who Ur was. She doesn't. You need someone who has met Ur. If you ever need anything, just let me know. Every year, I walk around, remembering Ur. Sometimes, I go back to my old village. Would you like to go with me?" Gray asked. Alex nodded. "Let's go to Lucy's apartment and get you some clothes because it's a few days to travel to my old village." Alex nodded again. Gray stood up and helped her up. They then walked to Lucy's apartment. Gray knocked on the door to Lucy's apartment.

"Kyla, Can you get that, please? I think it's Gray with Alex," Lucy called from the other side of the door. The door opened to reveal Kyla in a pair of Lucy's pajamas.

"Hey," Gray said to Kyla. Kyla opened the door farther to reveal Natsu and Happy sitting in Lucy's living room. Gray walked in and sat next to Happy on the couch. Shortly after, Lucy came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her head. She looked at Gray, then at Alex.

"Is everything alright, Gray?" She asked.

"Yeah. I was just wondering if you could lend Alex a couple of pairs of clothes because she and I are going on a mission together." Gray explained. Gray used the excuse of a mission every year, so Lucy thought nothing of it. Only Master Makarov and Mirajane knew where he went. Most of the time, Gray went back to his old village to visit his friends. Most of them didn't know what happened many years ago. The chief and mistress were the only ones who knew. However, they preferred to keep it from the others. They thought if the other villagers were to find out, they would believe it to be bad luck for the village and eventually the pack. Gray thought he should visit this year since he hadn't gone last year.

Eventually, Alex had some clothes, and Lucy had packed them into one of her suitcases. Gray motioned for Alex to come, and Kyla started to follow.

"Ky, could you stay with L, please? If I need anything, I will call you. 'Kay?" Alex said, looking at Kyla.

"Of course, but promise me you will," Kyla said.

"I promise you. Thank you, Kyla." With that, they headed to the train station to leave for the Isvan region.

When they arrived, Gray went to see the pack leaders, while Alex went to explore. When Gray arrived at the chief's tent, he called out before entering, "Chief and Mistress of the Pack of the Others! It is I, Gray Fullbuster, who wishes to speak with you." Shortly after, the chief, Nickolas, came through the tent flaps.

"Gray, my boy, is that you?" Nickolas asked in a gruff voice.

"Yes, Nic, it's me, and I brought a friend along. Don't worry, she's not going to compromise your location. I think we might want to talk inside." Gray said. They headed into the giant tent.

"What is it, my boy, that we must talk privately?" Nic asked.

"She knows about Deliora and Ur. She is Ur's niece, and she was her student. I never knew because she was taking lessons privately and she was Ur's oldest student. She's even older than Lyon. I wanted to bring her straight here, but she wanted to look around after the long train ride." Gray explained. The look on Nic's face said it all. He was confused, excited, and a little suspicious. Gray could understand why. He was under the assumption that Lyon and Gray were the only two of Ur's students.

"I apologize for just bringing her here and not getting in touch with you beforehand. It's just that I haven't been here in 2 years, and she's never seen where her aunt passed. I hope you can forgive me."

"Oh, of course, my boy. You are always welcome here. Along with any of your friends. As long as you don't sell us out," Nic said. By the time they had finished talking, the Mistress of the Pack had returned from her morning routines and was walking into the tent with Alex.

"Nic, I found this child laying in our field crying. She tells me her name is Alex, and she came with our Gray," Maryanne said. Then she looked up to see Gray staying next to Nic. She then embraced Gray in a hug, which he returned. Alex had to stifle a laugh. Gray simply looked away and blushed. He wasn't one for hugs, so it looked a bit weird to see him hugging someone. Once Maryanne let him go, he moved over to Alex.

"Maryanne, Mistress of the Pack of the Others, this is Alex, my friend and a new member of my guild, Fairy Tail. Alex, this is Maryanne and Nickolas; they lead the Pack of the Others. They are the ones who inhabited my hometown after it was destroyed by Deliora." Gray introduced everyone and then got to catch up with Nic and Mary.
