When Alex and everyone got back to the guild hall, Alex and Kyla went to Lucy's place to try and get some much-needed sleep. A few hours later, Lucy came barging in, waking Kyla up in a sudden manner that startled Alex awake and made Lucy jump.
"The master needs us at the guild hall," she said before heading to her room. Alex and Kyla got up and got their things together. Alex, Kyla, and Lucy went to the guildhall and went straight to the conference room that Master had set up for the talk he wanted to give.
"In 3 months, there will be the Grand Magic Games, and I want you to participate," he said, talking to Alex, Natsu, Gray, Wendy, and Lucy.
"What about me?" Kyla questioned. "You will be in the guild stands, with the rest of us watching them." Mavis said, making Kyla jump. "Eek, when did you get there?"
"I've always been here." Mavis said. "I am taking you to Tenrou Island to train. Please use this time wisely."

Once everyone arrived on Tenrou, they headed to a clearing to make camp. Alex, Kyla, Kalonus, and Mailee all lagged behind the group a bit. They knew this place was sacred ground for Fairy Tail, so they didn't want to accidentally defile it in some way. After everyone got their things put away in their tents, they all got changed into their swimsuits. The sun was beating down as the team went to the beach.

For the first few days, everyone got to work training their magic. Even Mailee joined in, helping Natsu and Wendy where she could. Kyla and Kalonus worked together to strengthen Kal's shapeshifting. He had an arsenal of animals he could shift into. Alex worked on her maker magic the best she could. Lucy worked with Capricorn to strengthen her magic reserves. She always ran out of magic after just two gates. Alex had asked everyone to show her some of their spells so she could use her memory make to make copies of them. The only ones she couldn't seem to copy were Lucy and Erza. It seemed like she couldn't copy any holder-type magic. She'd tried to copy Cana's fortune-teller spell once before and had no luck there.

Suddenly, Virgo appeared in front of Lucy, saying the celestial world was in danger. Everyone quickly rushed to Lucy's side. With a rush of power, everyone was teleported to the celestial world. Alex looked around and saw everyone had been changed into celestial garments. Gray looked funny in a cloak with his stripping habit. Lucy looked around, and everything seemed normal. Suddenly, a voice spoke from behind everyone.

"My old friend, thank you for coming." A tall man with a long mustache appeared.

"Stache face," Natsu chimed.

"Celestial Spirit King," Lucy said. "Virgo said the Celestial World was in danger. I don't understand; everything looks fine."

"That was just a ruse to get you here." The king said, "We wanted to welcome you here to pay you back for everything you've done for us. Now, Smile." With that, all of Lucy's celestial spirits came from every direction. Soon, everyone was engaging in food and drinks with the spirits. Kyla walked up to Alex, feeling overwhelmed by the barrage of new faces. Something had been bugging Alex, though. She pulled Kyla with her to the side of the walkway closest to the celestial spirit king.

"Your Highness, I wish to ask you a question," Alex said as politely as she could muster. "My sister here uses star magic. I was wondering if that's somehow connected to your realm." The celestial spirit king looked as though he was in thought.

"My friend, you're better off asking Crux. You see, I don't hold a lot of knowledge about the different types of magic in the human realm." The king said, and with that, he pointed Alex and Kyla in the direction of Crux.

"So you wish to know if your friend's magic is connected to our realm, do you?" Crux asked. Alex nodded and noticed Crux appeared to have fallen asleep. She waved Lucy over to ask about it when Lucy simply stated, "He's not asleep. He's searching for your answer. Trust me, I got confused the first time I asked him a question."
