Kyla looks as if she's seen a ghost. Kalonus just gives her a sly smile.

"Ah, so you remember me?" Kalonus says.

"I thought you ran back to your no-good guild?" Kyla says with a sharp tone in her voice.

"I did. My master put me on a different mission. One that obviously led to meeting you again." He said with a sneer. Kyla just looked at him. "My master still wants you, though, Alex." Alex was confused.

"W-What? What does he want with me?" Alex asked. "I'm not anything special."

"Oh, but you are. You're the only one able to cast the spell Master wants." Kalonus said.

"So you only need me? Leave my friends alone." Alex said.

"I guess I could only take you. However, I want my sister to come too."

"Why do you want me?" Kyla asked.

"I need someone to teach me about my magic. And sadly, you are the only person who can help with that. It seems twins share magic similarities. For example, I can't use telepathy or telekinesis, but I can shapeshift. Apparently, our magic is unknown." Kalonus said.

"To be honest, shapeshifting is really similar to take-over magic. You don't have to touch the thing you want to shift into; rather, you have to study it." Kyla said. Kalonus just gave her a stupid look.

"Obviously, you're too dense to understand what I'm saying," Kyla said with a sneer. He eventually let Lucy, Wendy, and Natsu go. He then went behind them and knocked them out cold.

"Just to be sure they don't follow." He said to them. He then led them back to his camp. He pulled out a communication lacrima. He whispered to it a bit before he placed it on the ground. After a few minutes, a man wearing a black cloak with a hood appeared.

"What do you want? Have you got the ooze?" The man said.

"No, Master, but I got something better," Kalonus said to the lacrima.

"What could be more important than that ooze?" The man sounded irritated. Kalonus pulled Kyla and Alex into view of the lacrima. The man seemed to study Kyla and Alex.

"So you can't accomplish the task I sent you for, but you can complete a different one?!?" The man sounded pissed.

"Gomen'nasai, Master," Kalonus said.

"Ugh. Just get that ooze and bring both back to me now!" The man said, Kalonus nodded. Then, the image blurred and eventually disappeared.

"Kal, please. Let me go. I'll go get the stuff you need from the field. I'll make sure no one knows I was ever there. You can even keep the cuffs on me; I don't care. If you go back and they catch the scent of you, they'll attack, and you won't be able to get the stuff you need for your master. If I go, I can keep downdraft, and they won't be able to sniff me out." Kyla pleaded. "Please, I don't want them to hurt you. You are my twin brother. I can't lose you again." Alex looked at Kyla. 'What does she mean 'twin brother'? And what the hell does his master want with me?' Alex thought.

Alex must have had a confused look on her face, because Kyla said she'd explain later, then she went back to pleading with Kalonus. Eventually, Kalonus agreed.
