Her Choice

Kal went to talk to the master about going back to get Mailee. He put together a team to go with Kal to get her. The team consisted of Alex, Kyla, Lucy, Erza, Natsu, Gray, Happy, Wendy, Carla, Gajeel, and Laxus. They were currently on the train to Twisted Angel. Natsu was lying on Lucy's lap, looking like he was going to puke. Alex was sitting next to Gray, and Kyla was sitting next to Kal.

"So, Ky, could you teach me a little about our shapeshifting?" Kalonus asked.

"Oh, of course! Lu, could you summon a spirit?" Kyla said.

"Yeah. Does it matter who it is?"

"Preferably an animal."

"Ok. Open! Gate of Canis Minor! Plue!" There was a golden magic circle and a loud bell sound. When the magic circle disappeared, a tiny white snowman-looking animal appeared. It was shaking. Kyla bent down and stared into its eyes. Suddenly, there was a poof, and standing next to Plue was a similar version, only it was black with a silver cone.

"Did you pay attention to how I did that, Kal?" Kyla asked me. Kalonus nodded and bent down next to Plue. He studied the creature. He noticed how its skin gleamed with the light of the window. It was constantly shaking a little. He imagined himself as a black version of it and willed his body to change shape. He blocked out any sound distracting him. When he heard Kyla gasp, he knew he had successfully shifted.

When he opened my eyes, he looked down at his hands, or rather, paws, and noticed an almost exact version of Plue. Kalonus thought it was weird because he envisioned himself being black like his hair, but instead he was gold with a silver cone.

"Now to change back, you just think of your body going back to its original shape," Kyla instructed. Kalonus did as she said. By that time, they had arrived in Ruthga, the town closest to Twisted Angel. From here, they'd have to hike.

The hike to the Twisted Angel Guildhall wasn't far. On their way, they fought a few monsters that were terrorizing the woods and the people living there.

When they arrived at the guildhall, Kalonus had to stop due to the amount of torture he was put through while he was there. Eventually, they were able to keep moving. He burst through the doors like he always does, but this time he knew he didn't need to watch his back because his new guildmates had it.

Of course, once they got inside, pretty much everyone was on them. As Kalonus was fighting, he kept looking for Mailee. He couldn't find her anywhere. He hollered back to the Fairy Tail members.

"I need you guys to hold them up here so I can go find Mailee." Kalonus hollered. He got nods and "go"'s from them. He took off in a dead sprint towards the back of the guild, where they usually sit. Sure enough, there she was with her headphones on and her nose in a book. He quickly got her attention.

"Mailee!" Kalonus yelled, embracing her in a hug. She was reluctant at first, but eventually hugged him back and began crying.

"Kalonus! I thought you'd never come back!" She sobbed into his shoulder.

"I'm back. I came back for you. This place is no place for you. Come with me to Fairy Tail! We can be happy and not have to watch our backs." I continued to explain to her what Fairy Tail was like. Soon enough, the others had finished fighting everyone and joined me in the back. "Please, Mai, come with us."

"Kal, we're done fighting everyone. Did you find her?" Alex asked.

"Yeah," Kalonus responded. "So, will you come with us, Mailee?" Mailee simply nodded.

"Yes. I have to go to my house and pack, though." She said.

"Oh, sweetie, don't worry about packing. I'll have Virgo do it. Let's just get you out of this toxic place and get you back to where you belong." Lucy said to Mailee. She then pulled Virgo's key from her pouch. "OPEN: GATE OF THE MAIDEN! VIRGO!"

"Yes, princess," Virgo said, bowing to Lucy.

"Can you go to Mailee's house and pack her things? She will be coming with us to Fairy Tail." Lucy told Virgo.

"As you wish, princess," Virgo disappeared in a puff of smoke. Kalonus then grabbed Mailee by the hand and ran out of the guild. Then they headed to Fairy Tail. Back at the guild hall, Mailee was adjusting to her new guild while everyone else was helping her get a place to stay set up. All was peaceful.
