Alisha's POV:

Maya bounded up to us, all smiles and energy. "I didn't know you guys were friends with Nandani! This is such a small world!"

I glanced at Siddhart, trying to gauge his reaction. He seemed just as surprised as I was but quickly composed himself. "Maya, what are you doing here?"

Maya grinned. "Nandani's mom and my mom are best friends! We've known each other since we were kids. I was just dropping by to say hi."

Nandani chimed in, "Yeah, Maya and I practically grew up together. She’s like a sister to me."

Rohan leaned over to me and whispered, "Looks like we've got some unexpected company."

I nodded, still trying to process the coincidence. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy seeing Maya again.

Her presence at the arcade had already stirred some feelings, and now here she was again, in Nandani's house.

"Well, it's great to see you all," Maya said, her eyes sparkling with friendliness.

"Are you guys here to study?"

"Yeah, exams are coming up," Siddhart replied.

"We thought it would be a good idea to study together."

"Awesome! Maybe I can join you guys for a bit?" Maya suggested.

Nandani seemed delighted.

"Of course, Maya!"

We settled in the living room, books and notes spread out.

Despite the unexpected addition to our study group, we managed to focus on our studies.

Rohan, true to form, kept trying to impress Nandani's mom with his knowledge and wit, which made Nandani roll her eyes but smile nonetheless.

As we worked, I couldn’t help but occasionally glance at Maya.

She was friendly and engaging, but I couldn't shake off the feeling of jealousy whenever Siddhart laughed at something she said.

After a few hours of productive studying, we took a break. Nandani's mom brought out snacks and drinks, and we all sat around chatting and relaxing.

Maya was telling a funny story about their childhood when I realized that I didn't have to be jealous.

Siddhart was here with me, supporting me, and studying with me. I needed to trust that our relationship was strong.

After hours of studying I found myself on the carpet with my study materials spread out on the table, everyone around me had already succumbed to sleep.

Rohan was sprawled across the table, Nandani and Maya dozed off on the sofa, their books still open.

Siddhart sat quietly behind me on the sofa, seemingly lost in his thoughts.

"Pardhte pardhte sogye," I murmured to myself, feeling a pang of envy at their ability to fall asleep so easily.

Yet, my own mind refused to rest as I struggled with a challenging question.

Despite my reluctance to disturb Siddhart, the question gnawed at me, and I knew he was the only one who could help.

Just as I began to search for answers on my phone, I heard his voice.

"Tell me, where are you stuck?"

he asked gently, his breath tickling my ear and neck as he leaned down to hear me better.

I hesitated for a moment before reluctantly admitting my dilemma. He patiently began explaining, but I found it difficult to concentrate with him so close.

proximity sent my heart into a frenzy, and I couldn't tear my gaze away from his face, which seemed so near.

"Got it?" he asked, pulling me out of my reverie with a smile, and I nodded, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

"No, you didn't listen right?" he teased, kissing my cheek softly. Flustered, I nodded again, and he settled beside me, patiently guiding me through the problem until I finally understood.

As the weeks passed, we buried ourselves in our studies, determined to excel in our exams.

With dedication and perseverance, we managed to pass with good percentages.

Now, Nandani and I were in our second year, while Siddhart and Rohan were in their final year.

As I looked ahead to the coming year, a sense of sadness washed over me. Knowing that Siddhart would soon graduate and leave college filled me with a deep sense of loss.

We had grown closer over the past months, and the thought of him no longer being by my side in college weighed heavily on my heart.

I tried to push away the feelings of melancholy, focusing instead on making the most of the time we had left together.

But deep down, I couldn't shake off the looming sense of loneliness that awaited me once Siddhart was no longer a part of my daily life in college.

One evening, as we were walking back from the library, he stopped suddenly and looked at me.

"I have a crazy idea," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I'm listening," I replied, curious.

"Let's write down everything we want to do together—our bucket list—and make a pact to do it all," he suggested.

"I love that idea!" I said, beaming. "Let's do it."

We spent the next few hours sitting in our favorite café, scribbling down our dreams on a napkin.

Our list included everything from traveling the world to adopting a puppy, and even simple things like cooking dinner together or watching the sunset from different places.

"This is going to be amazing," Siddhart said, looking at our list with a satisfied smile.

"We're going to make all of these dreams come true," I said, feeling a surge of excitement for the future.

Life with Siddhart was like living in a beautiful dream. He made me feel cherished, loved, and special every single day.

His presence was my anchor, and his love was my guiding light. I couldn't imagine my life without him, and I knew he felt the same way.
