Lily's POV

I watch as Krios pulls his now ruined armour off and smile. This is going to be easy. Me and Jason exchange a glance before we attack from both sides, making it very difficult for the titan to defend himself from us both. After a while we end up disarming him, somehow, and we stand in front of him, our swords crossed over at his neck. "P-please, don't do this. I was forced to. By my brother. I never wanted to do this," he begs us for mercy, but without saying a word, if reading each other's minds, me and Jason pull our swords outwards simultaneously, and the titan's body falls sideways, turning to dust and settling in the grass. His head soon following.

I turn around, so does Jason, and we notice the monsters retreating into the tunnels. Or the ones that survived the onslaught from the other demigods, at least. I notice a smile grow on Jason's face, as the walls and pillars holding the roof up collapse, creating a huge cloud of dust. When it clears, Jason is on the other side talking to a girl, the one I saw him fighting the empousai with earlier. She looks around my age, with long dark hair. I walk over and introduce myself. "Hi, my name's Lily. What's your name?"

She looks at me suspiciously, giving me more of a look at her face, I notice her brown eyes scanning me up and down to measure how much of a threat I am, but after Jason reassures her that I can be trusted she smiles and holds her hand out. "Reyna. Pleased to meet you." I smile and shake her hand. "Thanks for keeping him alive for me, I don't know how I would lead this lot without him."

"Hey, you survived by yourself, you can lead the legion without me for a while. I'd say, about a week before you come begging me to help you," Jason joined in.

"Very funny," Reyna retorts, and we all start laughing.
"Hey, Lily about what he said earlier, can I talk to you for a minute?" Jason stops laughing, turns serious, and looks at me.

"Sure. up?"

Jason's POV

I take Lily away from where Reyna is, turn to her and look into her eyes. "What did he mean by 'child of the moon'?" I can sense her reluctance to tell me as she looks away.

"Jason, I don't know if I can trust you enough to tell you." I look at the floor when she turns her head back to me, and I say, "I saved you several times during that battle, so you would be dead without me. If you couldn't trust me, I would've let you die. So, you can trust me."

"Jason. I can't tell you."

"Why not? You say you can't trust me, now you can't tell me. What is going on, how did he know you?"

"Jason I – "

"Lily just tell me what is goi –"

"I CAN'T JASON, OKAY? I can't," she finished whispering, tears brimming the bottom her eyes. "I can't tell you who I am, or where I'm from, or what he was talking about. It's not that I don't want to, believe me I do, but I can't." I feel my heart break with her words.

"I get it. You don't know who we are so you can't trust us. You're right," I can feel tears slowly slipping from my eyes.

"I'm sorry okay, I have to go. Say bye to Reyna for me and tell her it was nice to meet her," she turns around and runs down the mountain, disappearing from my view. I messed up. Why did I have to ask her about what happened so much? Now I don't think I'll see her again.
