Lily's POV

"I'm sorry. You two know each other?"

I hear Annabeth ask that and pull away. "Right, I didn't tell you, I only told Percy."

"Only told Percy what? How do you know him?"

"I am right here. You can ask me you know," Jason states, (quite obviously in my opinion). I look around and notice that everyone is staring at me and Jason. "I'll explain somewhere else, not here in front of everyone," and that is one thing I now regret doing.
Because when I agree to explaining a situation to someone, it takes me telling the story four or five times for the person to understand it. And with Annabeth being a child of Athena, she will probably ask me more questions than anyone else.

Time skip to the campfire

We are all sat down around the fire, I am sat with the Aphrodite kids, Jason is sat with Annabeth, and Leo is sat with the Hephaestus kids (he got claimed shortly after they arrived). I see Piper walk in out the corner of my eye but I don't say anything, instead listening to the others talk - Nyssa updating everyone on the dragon situation (it's been running rampant through the forest since Beckendorf died), Clarisse asking about capture the flag.

Chiron looks at everyone while he speaks, and glances at me longer than the others. My attention turns to Rachel when Chiron calls her forwards, and she recites something - the great prophecy - the one she spouted out as soon as she became the new oracle:

Eight half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall,
An oath to keep with a final breath,
A secret once lost shall be revealed,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.

No one knows what it could mean. No one has any idea of what secret it refers to. No one knows what 'foes' will have to work together. The only thing that is clear about it, is that it is coming to pass. Very soon.

I stay quiet, listening while they all talk, thoughts is potential meanings for the prophecy running through my head:
Will the world end to fire? Or storm? Would the foes be Greek and Roman? Will someone die after swearing to do something? What secret will be revealed? And how had it been lost? How long has it been lost?

My thoughts are interrupted when Rachel starts spouting a prophecy for a quest:

Child of lightning, beware the earth,
The giants' revenge the seven shall birth,
Fail without the help of the moon,
The forge and dove shall break the cage,
And death unleash with Hera's rage.

Everyone goes silent, and then starts talking to each other about what it could mean. 'Fail without the help of the moon'...do I have to help with it?

Chiron silences everyone and look at Jason, clearly asking something. Jason understands and asks Annabeth to stand back. He raises his javelin, and a lightning bolt shot down from the sky, destroying the campfire. "Well. I think it's obvious who's child he is." I finally speak up for the first time tonight.

"Jupiter...I mean Zeus. God of lightning." Jason looks at me.

Time skip to that night

"Come on we have to go!" Percy shouts. I run to keep up. "The capsules are in place. I'm heading to the rendezvous point now." We hear Beckendorf say through our earphones. "How long until they're charged?" I ask him.

"About five minutes."

"Perfect, it should be enough time to get to the deck and get off this ship."

We burst onto the deck, reach the rendezvous, but Beckendorf isn't there. "Where the fuck is he? He should be here by now," I say, confused and it's obvious Percy is thinking the same thing: where is Beckendorf? Just then, we hear something, "Hello there, Percy, Lily, nice to see you both again." We turn around, and Luke is standing there looking at us. His eyes turn gold and his voice changes to Kronos', "We were beginning to think you'd never show up."

"Let me guess. You think you can stop us from blowing this ship up. Well, I'd think again because – "

"Beckendorf? Yes, I know he's here. In fact, Nakamura!"

Someone pushed their way through the crowd of monsters - Ethan Nakamura, the son of nemesis."We found him, my lord. Heading to the engine. His bag is full of Greek fire just like you said..."

Me and Percy discretely smile at each other. The fact that they think he didn't get to the engine room gives me hope that he tricked them, and the bombs will have time to be charged before the monsters disarm them. "Did you check the engine room? And if the bag is actually full of the fire or not?"

"N-no my lord, we didn't."

"Then check. NOW!" Ethan and a few others rush below decks to check the engines. It is only a matter of time before they find the bombs. While they are checking the engine, two giants walk through the crowds of monsters dragging between them – "Beckendorf!" I try running to him, but an empousa grabs my arms and pull them behind my back. I watch him and Percy having a silent conversation, I see his hand go to his watch and press the built-in detonator. Percy pushes through the monsters, I touch the crescent moon on my bracelet, turning it into my sword and the empousa holding me back instantly turns to dust. Percy gets to the railing while I try to fight my way to Beckendorf, "Lily, we need to go!" Percy pulls me to the edge and jumps off, just as the ship bursts into flames – "Beckendorf!"

I jolt awake in my mother's cabin, realizing it was just a nightmare. It was the only nightmare that came back to me every night, without fail. The day that started the war with Kronos, the reason I went to Mount Tam, the reason Beckendorf, Silena and many more died. I look around my cabin, propping myself up on my elbows, noticing Annabeth and Jason sat there looking at me in concern. "Was it the nightmare on the Princess Andromeda again?" I look at Annabeth, and the look in my eyes gives the answer she needs. "You said you would explain how you and Jason know each other but never got round to it, so we walked in, and you were tossing and turning. Jason wanted to wake you up, but I know how you are if someone wakes up, especially this early in the morning."

"Really? What time is it? Do I have to explain it now?"

"It's about 4 in the morning. And yes, you do. Now, what happened on the mountain?"

"Well, where do I start...?"
