As soon as I heard that the Amulet of Bomani the Egyptian warrior Queen was stolen I knew it was my duty to get it back. What I know is that treasure hunters took it, specifically the Rainbow Raiders people who love getting their hands on anything with a crazy value.
I tried asking my mom, dad, aunt, and other family members who are part of TFCTF or The Fugitives Collectors Tasks Force. But for some reason people just call it Otto. But of course I got nowhere with them. So, I went to the director and she said she building a force to stop them. She won't make it fast enough. I complained to Travis about this but he just told me:
"Mira, you're still new to the force. Just let them handle it."
I mean sure I learned about this whole Force thing, and my whole family is part of it. Even my younger cousins and grandparents are part of it! Some of them are teenagers! I am 22!
But that's not the point! I have get back the amulet back! To prove that I can handle this! It's in my blood dang it! Oh and it's wrong. That too.
Anyways I came up with a plan. Sneak out, take a mode of transportation, and go get the amulet. Okay I admit it it's not much of a plan. But at least I have one! Or a part of one. I might bring Travis along.
...
I lay on my bed in the compound. After the battle trying to prevent the Rainbow Raiders from taking the Amulet. Of course it didn't work and I ended up in the infirmary. Now in my tiny bedroom with books and my bag on the desk. I lay on the bed trying to come up with a plan.
Travis is still upset with me probably, which is fine. I can do the plan without him, or I could ask him. He'd probably wouldn't let me go, at all or without him. My bag is packed, I'm wearing a good outfit for sneaking. I also packed my task force suit.
I sit up brushing my hair out of my face to see the clock. 9:45... just three hours till I can leave. Why does anyone say that waiting for the mission to start is so boring! I flop back on the bed.
The next three hours go ridiculously slow. I sneak out for some water and an iPad. Thankfully I found a robe in the closet and the iPad has a couple movies. I watch two whole movies before I can successfully sneak out. I really wish I could've done this during the day. Or any time really that's not one in the morning.
As I sneak out I stop at Travis's door. Do I ask for his help or do I go on without him?
