The next morning, Brendon and Louise got into Louise's car to go grocery shopping. It was another unseasonably hot day. Louise had the sunroof open as she blasted the Emo national anthem.
"When I was a young boy...."
They both sang.In Walmart they went around and got what was needed. Brendon was running around, trying put things in the trolley, that they didn't need. Louise was laughing so hard she needed to pee. She left Brendon with the trolley and went to the bathroom.
As she went in, someone was coming out at the same time. They both bumped into each other.
"Oh I'm so sorry."
"Sorry, my fault." They both spoke at the same time, and laughed. Louise recognised the other person, as the young girl from yesterday, at the bridal shop. "Oh hey." Louisr said. The young girl looked at Louise, puzzled. "Sorry. You were at the bridal shop yesterday. You complimented me in my wedding dress." She explained.
The young said. "Of course. I am Meredith." She introduced herself and held out her hand.
"Louise." And they shook hands.
"Sorry, but I really need to pee. My fiancé had me laughing so hard." Louisr laughed and went into a cubicle. She heard the toilet door open and close.
Brendon was pacing back and forth with the trolley, waiting for Louise.
A young girl, about 18 or 19, approached him.
"Hi.", she said. She had big blue eyes and long blonde hair. She was slim in build.
"Hi." Brendon said back, giving Meredith his brilliant smile.
"Are you a fan?"
"I am."
"Cool." Brendon nodded his head. "Do you want a selfie?"
"Sure." And Meredith got her phone out, to take a photo. Louise came up to them and kissed Brendon on the cheek. Meredith looked at the interaction, turned away with a sour expression on her face.
"How about I take the photo?" Louise offered.
"Aww thanks babe." Brendon handed the phone to her.
"Ok. Say Panic! At The Disco." Louise laughed and took the photo. She then gave Meredith her phone back. They said their goodbyes and walked away.A week later, all decisions regarding the wedding had been made. Louise was having Grace as her Maid of Honour. The other girls would be bridesmaids. Brendon asked Spencer to be his best man. Mike and Dan were going to be groomsmen. Suits were ordered and bridesmaids dresses in baby blue, too.
Louise's phone rang. Looking at the caller ID, it was her sister, Jennifer
"Hi, sis." Louise smiled.
"DO NOT, 'HI SIS', ME!!"Jennifer yelled down the phone. "WHY AM I NOT MAID OF HONOUR??!!."
"Jenny, calm down." Louise replied. "I am much closer to Grace, than you."
"But she's not family." Jennifer was practically spitting down the phone.
"She is to me. So if you can't accept my choice, then don't come to the wedding." There was silence on the other end of the phone.
Jennifer cleared her throat. "I-I need to go now." And she hung up. Louise stared at her phone and laughed, shaking her head.
Louise left the staffroom, and went back out to the store.
As Louise busied herself sorting the new window display, for Summer, she looked out the window and saw Meredith. Louise waved but Meredith walked away, completely ignoring her. Louise frowned and then shrugged it off. Louise's car was being serviced, so Brendon was picking her up today.
"Hey babe." He said, as she got in the car. Louise kissed him and put her seat belt on. Again she noticed Meredith. She was outside the store, again.
"I have seen Meredith twice today, outside the store." Louise said to Brendon. She then explained about the incident earlier today.
"Mmmm, strange." Brendon mused aloud. They were soon on the highway, on their way home.
"I have nearly finished the album." Brendon said animated.
"Brendon that's brilliant." Louise put a hand on his thigh.
"Yea, just Dying in LA, to do."
"Ohh my favourite." Louise had tears in her eyes. The lyrics, they made her cry. Brendon took hold of Louise's hand and kissed it, as he drove towards their suburb.
Pulling into their drive way, Bogart, Penny Lane and Xena were all outside.
"What the fuck?" Brendon said. "Why are you all out here?" Penny Lane, trotted towards Brendon. Louise unlocked the door. Nothing was out of place in their house.
"Hmm that's a strange one." Louise said, heading towards the kitchen. It was her turn to cook dinner today. She went into the fridge to get the steaks out for dinner.
Brendon nipped in to the studio. He wanted to try and finish the album. Then he could discuss promotion, singles and tour with the record label.
