Louise opened her eyes. It was a Friday morning. It was raining so hard. Louise realised that she didn't feel very well. Brendon wasn't next to her, so she presumed he was either in the studio or he was running errands.
Louise swung her legs over the side of the bed and groaned. She did not feel good, whatsoever. Louise called work and told them she was sick. She went to pee and went looking for Brendon.
"Bren?" Louise called out. No answer. Louise went out to the studio. She walked in and found Brendon doing harmonies. Ge turned around and saw Louise.
"Hey ba-." He stopped mid greeting. "Louise you look so unwell baby." He caressed her cheek.
Louise lightly chuckled and said "That's good then, because I definitely feel worse than I look." Brendon felt her forehead. "Uou definitely have a temperature. Back to bed, fluids and Tylenol. No arguments."
"I wasn't going to argue." Louise replied. She turned around to head back to bed, with Brendon following. Louise climbed back into bed as Brendon came into the bedroom with water and Tylenol." Louise gladly accepted what Brendon gave her. She downed the glass of water in one go.
"I need more." She breathed out. Brendon got her some more water. She sipped this time. "Bren can you stay with me until I fall asleep, please?" Louise asked Brendon.
"Of course." Brendon wrapped his arms around Louise. He stroked her hair and sang The way you look tonight. Louise smiled and drifted off to sleep again.
Brendon returned to the studio. He left doors open though, in case Louise needed him.
Several hours later, Brendon had just about done the finishing touches to Dying in LA. He couldn't wait for Louise to hear it. He smiled and gave Bogart a hug, as he was sat on Brendons lap. All of a sudden there was a cry of pain, coming from the house. Brendon ran into the house. He found Louise slumped in the doorway between the kitchen and hallway. "Louise?" Brendon said with concern."Baby?"
"It hurts! It hurts!." Louise cried out curling into the foetal position. Brendon got his phone out and called 911. He explained everything to the dispatcher and an ambulance was on its way. Louise laid there crying in pain. Soon enough Brendon could hear sirens. He opened the front door for the paramedics. As he did so, Spencer came in. "What the hell man?" He said.
Brendon looked at him, "I don't know. Lou woke up feeling sick, then this." The ambulance pulled into the driveway and the paramedics got out. They rushed into the house. "What's her name?" One of them asked Brendon.
"Louise." He replied.
"Ok, Louise, we are going to start an IV, so we can give you some fluids and morphine."
Louise nodded and grimaced at the same time. "Brendon?" She cried out.
"I am right here baby." He said and she grabbed hold of his hand.

Once they got to the ER, Louise was whisked away to be,examined and have bloods taken. Brendon was pacing. Spencer had offered to stay at the house, to look after the pets and house.
Brendon called Louise's mother and Grace. About 20 minutes after Louise had been admitted, Brendon was allowed to go and sit with her. The Dr came to see them.
"Hello, I am,Dr O'Malley. I am a general surgeon. Looking at your test results, you have acute appendicitis. We need to operate, to remove it." He said.
Louise nodded. She was on morphine now, so the pain was a distant memory at this point.
"I love you." Louise said to Brendon.
Brendon smiled, "I love you too baby."
"Come get in here and I will show you how much." Louise giggled. Dr O'Malley excused himself to get the consent forms. Brendon smiled and said, "Later baby. You need surgery." He winked at her and kissed her forehead.
"Oh ok." Louise sighed and fell asleep. Brendon took this opportunity to call people, to update them on Louise's condition.
Louise signed the consent forms and was taken up for the surgery. Brendon went up to the surgical waiting room.

5 days later, Louise was discharged. She was still on pain meds, but feeling well.
Brendon finally got to play the full finished album to Louise too.
She was in tears after Dying in LA.
"You like it Louise?" Brendon was looking anxious.
"I loved it Bren. All of them are good songs. You know my favourite though." And she kissed his cheek. "I am off for a nap."
Brendon sat for a moment and then smiled. He was happy that all,his hard work had paid off. The record company were wanting to release it in the next couple of months. Brendon suggested September. So that any promotion wouldn't clash with the wedding and honeymoon.
The record label agreed. And that meant they were looking to tour in Spring next year, for the US leg. Brendon loved being on the road, taking the music to the fans. It would be different this time, though. He would have his wife with him. Brendons heart soared at the thought of calling Louise his wife. He couldn't wait to marry her.
Whilst Louise napped, Brendon checked the mail, and took the dogs to the local dog park.
As he sifted through the mail, he came across a letter that was handwritten, with the postmark smudged. He was about to open it, when his phone rang. It was Edith, Louise's mother. Brendon chatted to her, and forgot all about the letter.
When Brendon took the dogs out he could swear he saw that girl Meredith hanging around. He wasn't quite sure though, so shrugged it off.
Once home, Louise was up from her nap. She was drinking tea, on the couch watching Friends.
"Hey babe, shall I order pizza?" Brendon asked.
"Yea, may as well." Louise replied and sipped some of her tea.
Brendon wondered whether to mention the Meredith thing or not, but decided not to, for now.
