Brendon came off stage, happy and glad to be going back to California. He was joking around with Mike when the bus driver came towards him. He knew straightaway that something was wrong with Louise. The bus driver had also managed to find a first aider to come back with them.
Brendon ran to the tour bus. He could hear Louise screaming from the other side of the car park.
"OMG, LOUISE BABY, I AM COMING." Brendon shouted. When he boarded the bus, he was not prepared for what he saw. Louise was bottomless, squatting with a towel underneath herself. She was bearing down.
"Louise, you shouldn't be pushing." Brendon said.
"Try telling my body that!" She said through gritted teeth. The first aider boarded the bus.
"Oh my!" She exclaimed. "Honey, my name is Elaine. Are you full term?" Louise nodded. "Ok, and can I take a look?" Louise nodded again. Another contraction ripped through as she beared down. Elaine
she could see the baby's head.
"Brendon, can someone get more towels and do you have anything we can put down? Not tarp, but similar." Brendon was like a deer caught in the headlights at the moment. Nicole had overheard the conversation and was getting what was needed. She had found some trash bag's, to put down.
"BRENDON!" Louise screamed as she pushed. He came out of his shock and held Louise to help support her position.
"It's, ok baby." He said into her ear. "Come on, you can do it."
"Ok, with the next contraction, I want you to give little pushes. The heads right there, and I don't want you to tear." Elaine said.
Louise did what Elaine said. T, en the baby's head was out.
"Louise, I can see the head. You are wonderful." Louise was getting tired now, squatting, but it was the position she preferred to give birth.
The baby's head turned, and Louise's next contraction was building.
"Can I stand?" She asked.
"Of course." Elaine said. She was ready to catch the baby. Louise gave another push, and the baby came out. Then the baby was cleaned off a little, by Elaine.
"He's here, Lou! Our son is here!"
Brendon said, looking at the baby, who seemed remarkably calm, considering the dramatic entrance he just made. Louise looked at her baby boy. She picked him up and put him under her sweatshirt. Brendon helped Louise to sit down.
"Hey little guy, I guess you couldn't wait any longer huh?" Brendon said to his son.
Louise couldn't take her eyes off him. Elaine covered Louise's bottom half. Paramedics boarded the bus. Louise was given an injection to help deliver the afterbirth. Someone handed a towel to Brendon so they could wrap the baby in it. Louise was enjoying the bonding moment. As far as she was concerned, it was just her Brendon and their son.
"Louise?" Elaine gently asked.
"Yea?"
"The paramedics need to take you and baby to hospital now. Get you both checked over."
"Oh, ok." Louise said. She handed the baby to Brendon. He wrapped him in the towel and just gazed at him. The baby was looking at Brendon.
"You are beautiful." Brendon said to his son. The baby looked and made a little noise. There was a paramedics hovering near Brendon. Brendon looked up. "Is everything OK?" He asked.
"Yea, it's good. Has he not cried yet?" The paramedic asked.
"No." Brendon beamed with pride. "He hasn't." The paramedic went to take the baby from Brendon.
"Nico." Louise said quietly.
"Nico?" Brendon asked. "You're sure?"
Louise nodded. "Nico Boyd Urie."
"Nico." Brendon repeated. The paramedic looked Nico over. Nico started to cry.
"Why Nico?" Nicole asked.
"When we found out it was a boy, we started coming up with boys names."Brendon explained. "We had Nicholas. But he definitely looks like a Nico."
Nico was handed back to Louise, who was more comfortable. She was taken to hospital with Nico and Brendon.

The next day, Louise and Nico were discharged. Brendon Nicole and Mike went to get supplies from Walmart and Target, including a crib. Nico was a good healthy weight. 8 pounds 7 ounces. He took to nursing with ease. Louise was besotted with him. Brendon adored his son. And also his wife even more. He was so proud of her and what she went through.
As they entered the tour bus, Dan Mike and Nicole decorated it with blue and white streamers. There was a congratulations sign, and there were cards and gifts.
Louise had tears in her eyes.
"You guys, thank you." She sniffed. Brendon had hold of Nico in his car seat. Nico stirred a little. Nicole went over to have a proper look at the baby. Dan and Mike followed. They were all cooing over Nico. Louise sat on the couch. She was a little tender, but no stitches, thankfully.
Brendon came over to her and took Nico out of his car seat. He was dressed in a white Winnie the pooh onesie, with a hat to match. He was wrapped in his shawl. Louise took him from Brendon. She changed Nicos diaper and then nursed him. Afterwards, Louise took him into the bedroom and put him in the crib. She then laid down and had a nap.
"Man, it's been a crazy 24 hours." Dan commented.
Brendon ran his fingers through his hair and sat down.
"No kidding." Brendon chuckled. "I'm a father." He realised. "I have another human being to raise, protect, and love."
He smiled, and Nicole came to give him a hug.
