To be forgiven is a privilege and not a right. I have the right to forgive, and I have the right to not forgive. Refusing to forgive bigotry does not make me hateful, unreasonable, or divisive. Condonation is a synonym for forgiveness. Lenience, understanding, and tolerance are also synonyms. I do not condone anti-Blackness. I am not lenient with misogynoir. I don't understand racism, colorism, texturism, or featurism. I don't tolerate white supremacy. An apology for wrongdoing should not be seen as or considered a guarantee of forgiveness. To be forgiven is a privilege and not a right.
