Act 5: Swinging in the Right Direction

INT. PETERS ROOM - CRACK OF DAWN

Peter wakes up at the crack of dawn looking at MJ still asleep with her arms wrapped around him. Trying not to wake her up he gently moves her arms then slides out of bed

PETER
(Quietly)
If Oscorp made the spider then they wouldn't mind if I take some things.

Peter goes into his closet then picks out his outfit then grabs his bag, Pete quickly and quietly leaves the room

INT. LIVING ROOM - CRACK OF DAWN

Ben is on the couch reading something on his phone

BEN
(Reading)
Minimum heat or until golden brown--

Peter walks in the living room startling Ben

BEN
(Off guard)
Hey Pete! Didn't expect to see you up so early!

PETER
(Puzzled)
I have somewhere to go. Were you reading a cookbook off your phone?

BEN
(Sneaky)
That's not important, where are you going so early in the morning?

PETER
That's not important. I'm going to be gone for the rest of the morning if you cover for me, I won't tell May you wake up at the crack of dawn reading cookbooks, deal?

BEN
You would blackmail your own uncle?

PETER
(Getting louder)
May!

BEN
(Admitting defeat)
Alright fine, have fun doing whatever you're doing.

PETER
(Chuckles)
Works every time, bye unc.

BEN
Bye extortionist. Wait before you go, Is the outfit you wore last night in that bag?

PETER
Maybe. *walking towards the door* I have to go.

Peter leaves the house, Ben looks around before reading the cookbook off of his phone again

BEN
(Reading again)
Take out the oven--

INT. OSCORP LAB - CRACK OF DAWN

A fellow scientist that works at Oscorp Named Liv is running tests on a prototype fusion reactor. The results on her tablet comes back negative after hours of hard work

LIV
*Sighs* On point but yet so far.

Harry walks into the lab with a cup of coffee

HARRY
(Giving the coffee to Liv)
Good morning Liv, I didn't expect you here so early. Thought you went home last night?

LIV
Oh I was finishing up some tests and schematics but since you're here I wanna talk to you about the flight suit and the prototype jetpack glider.

HARRY
What about it?

LIV
The wings jets are now ready for flight and the weapons are already made and stored in the suits utility belt.

HARRY
And what about the suit? It looks fine.

LIV
That's what I wanted to talk to you about, the suits features are responding as it should but--

HARRY
But?

LIV
When we were running compatibility simulations with the human body the suit can detect diseases but it's unstable.

HARRY
I see.

Harry turns to the side then starts coughing into his arm, Liv notices some blood on his sleeve
