Act 7: The Start of Something Bad

INT. DISCLOSED OFFICE - DAYTIME

An unseen woman is sitting behind a desk talking to her henchmen

WOMAN
Any word on the bodega heist?

HENCHMEN
Didn't you see the news? The operation was a failure, someone pretending to be a hero called spider-man stopped it.

WOMAN
(Sarcastically)
Spider-man? Are you serious?

The henchman pulls up the headline off of his phone then shows the woman, she gets furious as she reads more and more of the article

HENCHMAN
Whoever this guy is, eventually he's gonna find out about who we are and what we're doing

VANESSA
(Revealing herself)
When that happens leave him to me, spider-man is just a minor bump in the road once he's out the way everything will fall back into place, until then we move quieter and more quickly.

Someone knocks on the door, the henchman gets up walking to the door, he opens the door then a little girl runs in hugging him

LITTLE GIRL
(Excited)
Daddy!

VANESSA
(Joyful)
Is that my favorite pumpkin?

LITTLE GIRL
Hi Mrs. Fisk.

VANESSA
Hi Penny, did your mom drop you off?

PENNY
Yes.

HENCHMEN
I have her for the weekend while her mom is getting surgery done.

VANESSA
You never told me your wife was in surgery.

HENCHMEN
(Picking up Penny)
Cuz I don't want work mixed in with my personal life, at the end of the day I'm a family man over anything.

VANESSA
You're a good man, you should take penny to the next room. We have some more business to discuss.

The henchmen takes his daughter into the other room while Vanessa contemplates to herself

VANESSA
Who are you?

EXT. OLYMPIC PARK - ATLANTA, GEORGIA - DAYTIME

May and MJ are walking around the park, MJ is in awe by the scenery

MJ
When you said park this isn't what I thought but it's nice either way.

MAY
We've been in the house for a while. I figured if we go out we go somewhere nice.

MJ
Did you call Ben to see where he is with the drinks?

MAY
I did but there was a lot of wind on his end I couldn't hear what he was saying.

MJ
Huh, ok well this is nice.

PETER
(Behind MJ & May)
Anywhere we go is a nice place far from home.

MJ and May turns around to find Peter standing behind them with the drinks in his hands

MAY
How did you get here so fast?

PETER
(Giving May the drinks)
We weren't that far when you called us.

MJ
Where's Ben?

Ben walks up behind Peter

BEN
(Behind Peter)
Right here there's very few bathrooms out here.

PETER
(Turning around)
We walked past two of them, you thought they were shower rooms.

BEN
(Talking to Peter then May)
Yea you're probably right, alright I'm taking Peter you two have fun.
