Act 8: Shocking Discoveries

EXT. BUILDING ROOFTOP - ATLANTA, GEORGIA - DAYTIME

HARRY
(Walking up to Peter taking off his mask)
I should kill you right now but what would be the fun in that you're not even conscious to see it happen

Harry kneels down checking Peters pulse

HARRY
(Continued)
Still alive, just knocked out, I'll just get what I came for and go.

Harry pulls out a needle then goes to inject Peter but his skin is preventing the needle from going in

HARRY
Why isn't the needle going in?

Harry pushes harder then the needle breaks off

HARRY
(Standing up)
Damnit, fine there's other ways of getting your blood, see you around spider-man.

Harry flies off then moments later Peter painfully wakes up getting up off the ground, his costume burned and tattered, his face is bruised and dirty

PETER
(In pain)
Ok let's see what's broken.

Peter examines himself, everytime he bents and moves his bones pop

PETER
*straining* Okay, besides that I'm not dead. He knows who I am, I don't have my phone and can't call Ben to see if they're home. *Hopping on ledge* I need to get my things then head to Oscorp, maybe Norman knows.

Peter uses his only working web shooter to swing back to where he placed his bag

INT. OSCORP - NORMANS OFFICE - DAYTIME

Norman is sitting at his desk once again but this time he is on his company computer, he is fully aware that Harry stole his laptop from his office

NORMAN
(Talking to himself)
What are you planning?

The sound of the door opening and closing can be heard, Norman looks up to see Peter walking in

NORMAN
(Getting up from his chair)
Peter, you look like you've seen better days.

PETER
Doing side projects, ya know I'm something of a working man myself.

NORMAN
Couldn't have said it better myself, have a seat.

Peter sits in the clients chair in front of Norman, Norman sits back down closing his laptop

NORMAN
Before I say what I have to say is there anything you want to ask me?

PETER
Yes two things actually, When was the last time you've talked to Harry?

NORMAN
Last time I talked to Harry I terminated his involvement in a project that he was working on. Have you seen him?

PETER
Not since the spider exhibit and my second question is are you aware there is someone flying around in Oscorp attire?

NORMAN
(Stating the obvious)
You're talking about Harry and you're here to ask me how to stop him?

Peter looks puzzled

NORMAN
Yes, I'm fully aware that you're swinging around Atlanta saving people as "Spider-man". It's funny how you're fixing everyone else's problem when you haven't solved your own problem considering you had a part to play in it.

PETER
(Puzzled)
I had a part in it? I don't understand.

NORMAN
The spider bite? At the spider exhibit.
