INT. PARKER RESIDENTS - KITCHEN - NIGHTTIME

Ben, May and MJ is waiting for Peter to come home

BEN
It's been hours. I think we should get some sleep.

MAY
Yeah it's almost morning, if he shows up he shows up.

The sound of the front door opening then closing can be heard in the living room, everyone walks in the living room to see nobody there

MJ
(Looking around)
Peter?

MAY
(Confused)
The front door was locked, wasn't it?

BEN
He must've gone back outside, I'm going to bed.

MAY
I am too, getting kinda tired over here, goodnight MJ.

MJ
Goodnight.

Ben and May goes to their room leaving MJ in the living room, MJ takes out her phone to call Peter, he doesn't answer

MJ
*Loud exhale* Nice, like that was gonna work.

While MJs back is turned Peter lowers himself down to her level while hanging upside down on a web. Peter taps MJs shoulder causing her to jump in fear, MJ turns around swinging on Peter but he catches her fist

PETER
Sorry, I should've known that was gonna happen. I probably could've said something.

MJ
Ya think? You look messed up.

PETER
That's because I am, can we talk on the couch?

MJ
Yes we have an overdue.. *Distracted* I'm sorry, can you get down please? That's really distracting.

Peter gets off the web then sits on the couch with MJ

MJ
Ok first things first. How did you become this?

PETER
During the spider exhibit I followed Norman and a scientist into a classroom, when they left I went in and was bitten by a radioactive spider.

MJ
So if you were to bite me would I be a Spider-Woman? Do you know where the spider is?

PETER
One I don't know I never tried and two I have no clue. I ran out of the classroom and left the building.

MJ
Ok next question. Why didn't you tell me you were Spider-man?

PETER
I was going to tell you at some point but I couldn't and even then, what if my enemies found out about you, May or Ben? It was bad enough with my situation with Harry, I could only imagine all of this would overwhelm you. That's why I didn't tell you or May because I didn't want you to worry about me.

MJ
You should've been honest with me when you saved me the first time, What kind of spider bit you in that classroom?

PETER
It was a Steatoda nobilis.

MJ
(Confused)
English please?

PETER
The false widow. They were experimenting on the spider in secret, it was supposed to be for Harry to save his life.

MJ
Harry was dying?

Peter nods his head

MJ
(Disbelief)
Wow, he didn't tell me he was sick.

PETER
He tried to tell me that day but I left, had I stayed I would've known. *Tearing up* Why didn't I stay?

MJ grabs Peters hand
